***RELISTED DUE TO NON-RESPONSIVE & NONPAYING BIDDER*** IF YOU HAVE ZERO FEEDBACK YOU CANNOT BID! Up for auction is my Grandmother's old 1980 AMC Concord Station Wagon. When she passed away she had willed this to me but I don't really have a use for it and i would rather see it go to someone who can use and appreciate it. She bought it new in 1980 and was used as her driver to and from FL from CT during the winter where she spent the her winters. When she had it back in CT for the summer, she only drove it around town for errands and as she got older, for the past 20 years, a weekly ride to the recycling center. I had a tune up done a year ago and then drove it from CT to OH. I was very surprised at how well it handled, the ride was comfortable, it wasn't loud and I averaged 36-41 miles per gallon while driving on the highway. Driving around in town I enjoy around 30 mpg consistently. There are good things and bad things on it. I will accurately describe everything I have found with the car. It's your choice whether you'd like to drive it home or tow it. Either way you are buying it as is with no promises or warranties being offered. Remember, this car is 34 years old! Good thingsBody is relatively rust and rot free for a car this age. The Concords were equipped with a superior anti-rust coating from the factory and they even used this in their advertising at the timeThe car rides and drives beautifullyBecause it is so simple and no-frills there isn't much to go wrong with it!Brand new fuel pump (the old one leaked)Complete Records of all work done to car along with technical service manualRear end rebuilt last year (it was leaking)A definite eye turner and conversation piece by everyone who sees you driving it!Multiple sets of keysHeat is nice and warmmanual Everything, doors, locks, etc.Spare tire and extra filters and oil in the trunkNever been in an accidentTires are still goodRear wheel driveAwesome in the snow. They don't plow my street when it snows since we have cobblestone and Even when our front wheel drive compact cars would get stuck the Concord had no trouble getting out and driving around. Known issuesSome rust on rear rocker panel behind rear wheels and on bottom of side rockers is just starting. No rot underneath at allMuffler pipe has been poorly patched and is slightly louder than it should be. a simple fixBody is by no means perfect with little dimples and dings in random places, mostly in the chrome trim surrounding the wheel wells.interior carpet and headliner have staining from 30+ years of usage.Radio is really old and tape player does not work. Car was never outfitted with speakers and has 2 detached speakers, one in back and one in front that could be permanently mounted or replaced. They do work perfectly though as they are.CB antenna is hooked up to stereo and not a CBClutch pedal pad and overhead light cover are in the glove compartmentNo A/Cheadlight switch or something occasionally acts up when low beams are on and start to flash and you have to toggle between between high and low beam a few times to get it to stop. I drove at night with high beams on instead since they weren't very bright to begin with and caused this to be a non issue for me.Rear hatch pneumatic arms don't work as you can see by the board propping it up. Board is included :)Dash lights don't work, I carried a flashlight for if I needed to see something on it while I was driving at night. all gauges work, just the lights do not. I think that just about covers it all. it really is a great car and they didn't make many wagons with the small 4 cylinder and the 4 speed manual tranny. If I didn't need the space I would hold onto it because it really is so cool. $200 payment to be paid via paypal within 48 hours of auction ending. Balance to be paid upon pickup. Notary is a few miles away to sign the title over. Feel free to ask questions before bidding. Good luck! On May-27-14 at 17:49:45 PDT, seller added the following information: The last time this was listed I had several people who wanted to come over and see the car in person as well as take it for a test drive. Every one of them remarked at how accurate the description was and the pictures are. This is the real deal, described as accurately as possible. Good luck!
