Vehicle Detail
This GTO is in fantastic shape! Heads turn everywhere you go! Looks great, sounds strong! I’ve owned it for 17 years and its time for a new project. Great acceleration off the line, chirps without trying when going into second gear. Very tight handling…silky smooth power steering. 1967 GTO 2 door coupe 400ci (6.5L) engine 335hp for original spec (YS code) Numbers matching Edelbrock intake with Edelbrock 750 cfm carb (original intake manifold included) Aftermarket spec cam (original cam included) Hardened Valve Seats for unleaded gas Original exhaust manifolds coupled to Magnaflow 2 chamber mufflers 3-speed automatic Turbo 400 Hydromatic transmission, Stage 1 shift kit installed Hurst His/Hers Dual Gate shifter Rear differential is a 12 bolt posi with 3.55 gears Front Disc Brakes (aftermarket), Drum brakes in rear Polyurethane suspension bushings for tight handling Front sway bar and rear anti-hop bar installed, very tight, but comfortable ride! Original Rally II rims (including spare tire/rim) ARP bolts and screw in studs installed during engine rebuild (2006) Aluminum radiator, engine stays nice and cool even in summer traffic HEI distributor Hood tachometer Starter heat protection circuit installed AC-equipped but not installed (all parts included) Power steering, Power windows, Power drivers seat Remote side mirror (mechanical) Nightwatch Blue exterior (original color- repainted in 2004) Despite slight paint lift on rear deck, Incredible paint job! Black Interior in great shape, front bucket seat upholstery and headliner installed in 2006 CD Changer, power amplifier and subwoofer in trunk, stereo speakers in doors Dash is intact with original holes for radio- aftermarket stereo installed Original AM radio included All tires in great shape + two extra spares! Various other extra engine parts and chrome pieces included A must see! Fun car to drive and to show off at the car cruise nights! What's wrong with the car? It's an old car and not a "concours" quality machine:AC is not installedThere is some slight paint lift behind the rear window. This is a common place for water to pool on this model. There is no deep rust, just the surface paint. The rear bench seat vinyl is separating a little at the top of the seat.Rear bumper has some chrome missing above the license plateRadio/amp/sub/cd player power is disconnected. Needs a new power line run to trunk.Drivers Side window motors need to be rebuilt or replacedAll minor things, nothing serious wrong with the car. It's been great to have for a LONG time. I'm ready for a new project. More photos at www dreamstriker com / gto (put the periods in the right place and take out the spaces...)On May-29-14 at 19:45:21 PDT, seller added the following information: Correction to listing: This is a 2-door HARDTOP (no post between the front and rear windows) I mistakenly thought this was called a coupe. A coupe has a post behind the doors...this car does not.
