Vehicle Detail
I am the original owner of this vehicle, purchased form Luby Chevrolet on 10/2/1979, I have copy of the sales order and also the original sticker of the vehicle, even though it is okay shape, I removed it form the window buy peeling it off using hot water so it has tears in it but is in good shape for its age. In September/ 1987 car was transferred to my Uncle and he took over the vehicle for many years, about 6 years ago I took back the car and I did a total restoration on the vehicle, I stripped the car down had it painted and redid the interior of the car purchasing everything I could for the vehicle. The seats were car covered when I purchased the car so the original are still in good condition so those were not replaced. This car came with most available options except rear window defogger and side body mouldings which I originally installed after by the dealer but after the restoration I did not reinstall. Car was well maintained while in my possession. The engine was completely done by a certified local restoration shop that ahs been in business more than 50 years and I can provide info if you would like to speak to the mechanic that did the mechanical restoration on the vehicle. I would say the week points on this vehicle is the seat belts could use replacement which I did not do since I have not found suitable replacements but I have also not spent time searching in the last 2 years for them. The car has been put away since the restoration and hardly driven and I do not have room at my house since my kids are drive there is no space to store the vehicle which I the reason I have decided to sell this car. Also vehicle has original am/fm cassette radio, speakers where changed, but I do not know if the cassette works, I don't have one to try . I also have the original shop manuals plus many books and catalogs for the Camaros which I will include in this auction. Items done: Overall engine replacing all necessary parts cost $10,500.00, this included AC system redone including evarporator, compressor, accumulater, blower etc. The AC cools better than it originally did in 1979.. Overhauled the front end replacing Ball joints, bushings, tie rods, replaced the brakes including booster and master cylinder, did the exhaust systems including 2 magna flow Mufflers, I do have receipts for everything. and receipts of the interior parts. I also replaced the front and rear windshield
