As stated, this is a great car. Looks and runs very well. I can provide an AutoCheck report. I will try to figure out how to link to AutoCheck. The report is clean. Title is clean. The car is superb has no major issues that I or my mechanic has noted. I would be surprised if there were any major issues. I have had 2 other MBZ Diesels and passed them to my kids who drove those cars from HS and one all the way over 300k miles. I have allot of knowledge about these cars. There are a few very minor things: small crack on dash, see pic, no dings or dents, a small chip on right front door hardly noticeable and touched up, a very small rub mark on front bumper. The car when I purchased it was always garaged; however, the very senior woman who owned it had a few rubs going into the garage. In order to remove the scuffs, as well as one I got in a parking lot while the car was in a parking stall from someone else, I removed all marks and had the car completely painted instead of touching up, saved up and had the car repainted around 2010 the exact same color. Look at the photos. Whoever buys this car should have this car for many years. Car has been in California its whole life and consequently no issues with rust. This one still in play is an interesting comparative. Look at where it is bid up to and then do a side by side comparison of the pictures and narrative. I have been getting questions that answered by reading the description. Please read the description. This is a great 30 year old car. As used cars go it is outstanding. It is not a show quality car. Show quality is a car that has been stored and used only to keep seals and parts from damage of no use. This car has lived and seen the world. It is my 3rd one of this vintage spanning over a number years. I ran a 1980 300 D up to 160k miles then sold it for a turbo diesel, I ran that car, a 1985 300 TD up to 325k miles then sold it. I bought this one for sale now with about 39k miles from original owner and have run it up to 74,300 miles. From my experience, if you are good getting preventative maintenance done, these cars go to 300k plus. These cars are beginning to disappear. The only place left you can find them is here on Ebay and there becoming less of them and the MBZ Corporation facility based out of S CA, called Classic Mercedes. This is a place in Irvine CA that is owned by MBZ corp. Their sole purpose is to find low mileage vintage MBZs and restore and sell them. They are show quality and as an example, they sold a 300 turbo w123 with about 16k miles for around 30k. The other thing for newbees to these cars, is parts. There are many great places for parts, just google what you want; however, if there is something you cannot find, Classic Mbz of Irvine can get it for you and all the parts are genuine MBZ. I mention this because when you buy a 30 year old car of some type of make and model, parts availability must be considered. Parts for the w126 and w123 are readily available and compared to the newer electronic driven cars, cheap.
