This is a 1992 Porsche 968 for sale. This is a beautiful car that has been semi-restored. I bought the car to restore over time with my son. He is now in College and have other priorities and can't work on the project anymore. The car is his daily driver right now and works perfectly. More pictures of the car can be found here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/71875191@N03/sets/72157644503834972/The engine was rebuilt at around 235,000 miles along with a lot of small replacements and fixes. Tires were replaced at 235,000 miles and are at 70% thread. Almost all front suspension components where replaced also at 235,000 miles. Front bumper, hood, front-left fender and driver side door were all repainted at 249,000 miles. Original wheels without any curb marks. Original carpet in very good condition with only one small stain. Original rugs NOS from Porsche purchased in December 2013 as a Christmas gift. Many of the door seals have been replaced, the only one that hasn't been changed is the right door seal as it is in good shape. The car seals perfectly now and there is no road noises in the cabin. Original steering wheel that still looks good. Soft leather on the steering wheel and no rips. Some scuffing from use on the top part of the wheel. Original dashboard with everything working. We replaced the heating and cooling unit and the buttons. The acrylic in the unit is new. The dash board have some cracks around the vents and was the next to be restored. The car runs perfectly smooth. The engine is pulling very strong and the Tiptronic is working perfectly. We rebuilt the brake calipers replacing all the seals. The car have new brake pads also replaced at 235,000 miles. The brake discs are new. The brake hoses are new as is the master cylinder. The car is very nice and with some time and effort will be perfect. I have some parts that will go with the car so the new owner can replace over time. I have all the plastic clips and all the piping for the car. I also have brand new rear shocks. We replaced the front ones. We also have the internal and external seal for the sun roof and other odds and ends. All the parts are from Porsche. There are many hours and a lot of money in parts on the car. I estimate we probable bought $5,000 in parts to get where we are at. I would keep the car as a toy but I have a 911 SC, a Boxster and a number of motorcycles and just don't have the space for another car. Here is what was replaced on the car:New water pump.New hydraulic steering pump, rack and hoses (absolutely no leaks).New alternator.New battery.Front seats recovered in pleather.New carpet rug set NOS from Porsche.New AC compressor.New wheel bearings in the front.All the rubber bushing in the front and rear suspension was replaced.The engine was rebuilt with the following replaced:Water pump.All belts.All belt rollers and bearings.Variocam chain.Variocam pads.Rings.All bearings.All bolts required to be replace during rebuilt.Gaskets and seals.Some of the hoses.Spark plugsFuel filterAir filterOil filterSpark plug cablesDistributor cap and rotorSpark plugsThe valve guides have been replaced and the valves reseated by a professional shop.Tires.Brake pads.New luggage compartment cover.New front lower armsAll the rubber on the front and rear suspension was replaced with new items from Porsche.Engine mounts are the original hydraulic ones from Porsche. Both replaced.Everything in the car is as original as possible, with the following exceptions:Some parts have been painted non-original colors (red brake calipers, yellow suspension)The front seats have been replaced with pleather (originally leather)(rear seats are still original)The stereo receiver has been updated for use with USB, iPhone/iPod, Bluetooth and has an auxiliary input.The only rubber seal that wasn't replaced on the car was the right hand side door. Small issues to be addressed by the new owner:The cruise control isn't working. The ABS light comes on once-a-while. Some days will be on always, some days will not come on. I traced the problem to the left rear wheel sensor. I haven't replaced the sensor yet.The AC compressor is brand new but the belt makes some noise when the car is cold. The AC works perfectly and the car gets really cold even down here in Miami. After some warm-up the belt stops making noises. If I put the old belt there is no noise so we are assuming is the belt.Rear windshield wiper isn't working. Fuel gauge occasionally doesn't work correctly (shows a full tank). There are some small chips on the paint here and there. Nothing major just the usual road tiny chip marks.There is a scratch on the right rear quarter that was retouched with a brush. It can be noticed and will need to be repaired at some point.
