Up for sale is my 1998 Mercedes E300 Turbo Diesel. I am the second owner which purchased the car in 2006 with 51,000miles. It was owned by a college professor in Oklahoma where the winters are mild and roads not salted. Car has always been garage kept, and rarely driven in the winter. This Benz is in immaculate condition and has been professionally detailed every year I have owned it. This 3.0 liter Inline 6cyl generation Mercedes is the last of the coveted diesels to own. It is extremely reliable, super quite, stock 175Hp torque/performance of a small block V8, and gets 35mpg highway. New common rail Mercedes diesel are priced out of the market of normal working people, and are equipped with complicated emissions equipment mandated by our lame government. If you are a fan of regular “Check Engine Light” conditions that can cost you thousands of dollars in repair cost, then go purchase any new Clean Diesel automobile. If you want reliability, simplicity, and a mill that will last you a long time then you should consider bidding on my E300. For work related reasons I need to purchase a pick-up truck, and I will greatly miss this Mercedes Benz! I just installed 4 new 80,000 mile Goodyear Assurance all season radials ($850). 6 new Bosch glow-plugs installed Nov 2013. Front and rear shocks replaced March 2013. Front and rear brakes done in last year using ceramic pads (no brake dust). Oil/filter just changed at 137,000 miles, and done so every 6000miles with 5W-40 Synthetic . This car is the easiest oil change ever, and I will throw in the 36mm socket required to remove the oil filter cap conveniently located on top of engine. The fuel filter is also a breeze using a metal spin on filter. I have 4 oil filters and 3 fuel filters that are included in this sale. Premium Stereo has fantastic sound and includes the factory trunk mount 6 CD Changer. I will throw in a 3.5mm digital/cassette convertor which allows you to play your I-Phone/Smart phone digital tunes through factory cassette player (sound is very good) To give my 1998 a newer look like the 2000 and up models, I replaced the grille as shown and also installed an AMG hood logo. You are welcome to reinstall the factory metal Benz round emblem if you desire. A new battery was put in December 2013 ($150). Other options include power moon roof, traction control, 4 wheel ABS, Dual Air bags, driver and passenger power seats with 3 setting memory, and power telescoping wheel. I purchased the 17” Mercedes Alloy wheels as shown, and put brand new Michelin Snow tires ($650) on the stock 16” rims back in 2007. As I mentioned I rarely drove the car in the winter, and I estimate the snow tires have less than 2000 miles on them and have no wear shown. The Mercedes will be sold with both sets of summer and winters tires/rims. (A picture of qty 1 snow tire is shown) (Note: snow tire package new would cost well over $1000) This car has an optional 700watt block heater, but I rarely used it as it was stored in garage at night. It has always started even on the coldest winter days without hesitation regardless of being plugged in at the office. The only thing I am aware that is wrong is the display on LCD temperature control has a few digits that are dimming. It is fully functional, and I have found a few used ones on the forum for under $100. Drivers side leather seat does show a little wear from sliding in and out, but no tears and barely noticeable. Rear bumper impact strip (rubber) has small crack left side also not so noticeable. Please feel free to ask me any questions about my Mercedes as there is nothing to hide, and it will make any new owner very proud to own this mint condition E300TD.
