Vehicle Detail

Hi. You are looking at a brute in every sense of the word. It is a 1996 Ford F-350 single rear wheel, regular cab 1 ton 4x4 pickup truck. It has been well used. It is damaged as the pictures do indicate. It is the 7.3 Powerstroke diesel with the E4OD automatic transmission. I have a passion for these 1 ton's and have had for years.......bought some very nice new ones back in the day and we have a couple of them now. Anyway, I just purchased this truck from an insurance company down in Georgia, I do wreck rebuilding on the side as well as Mopar restorations. I bought this truck to strip it down to the frame and make it brand new again, but unfortunately, that idea has changed a little and I have decided to go ahead and sell this F-350 and let someone out here use it for a re-builder, parts truck, yard art or conversation piece. It has been wrecked in the front bumper and the left bedside. The interior is filthy, but should clean up decently. The paint finish is OK and will wax up fairly good. It has a great body with the exception of that left bed side. The tailgate is junk. The wheels and tires are all serviceable. The engine is sound and runs like new, just a great running Powerstroke, really rev's and idle's nicely. Starts pretty good, too. The transmission takes it's gears good, but I have not driven this truck, other than out here on my five acre compound and I cannot make a single guarantee about it's drivability. We noticed some looseness in the front axle and it was determined that the ball joints are all bad and are worn out. The interior is absolutely filthy, but it should clean up fairly good. The seat is in mint condition, believe it or not. There is some trim missing on the dash, but that stuff is cheap and readily available. The body is very nice on about 80% of the truck. The doghouse, cab and doors are all very nice. The bed won't be all that bad if you replace the drivers side panel. There is absolutely no rust or rot on this vehicle. It is dirty underneath, but all that dirt, grease and grime will power wash to reveal solid rust free frame, lines and brackets, etc. It is just packed with that Georgia red clay stuff :) I am selling this truck on a Kentucky bill of sale, only, if you intend to use it for parts or to rebuild something of your's. If you intend to rebuild this truck for your personal use, I do, have it's original Georgia certificate of salvage title, here in my office. That title has been assigned to us and it will have to be transferred to our shop before we can transfer it to you, but the process works well and it's fast and proper. It's about a week turnaround. I will have the title, here in hand, ready to transfer to you, before you arrive to pick it up. I would rather sell it as "parts only" on that bill of sale, but if you want that title to transfer the truck to you, that can be arranged. In this case, we will have to transfer the truck to you, from our shop at our DMV before you can take possession of this truck (You will be responsible for the transfer fee's) If this is the case we will discuss that procedure on the phone. It works well and everyone that has purchased a vehicle from me has been well satisfied and I make sure that they are all happy and are well treated. I guess that I have bored you to tears by now, but I wanted you to know all about this truck and it's selling conditions. Remember.........this brute is rough around the edges, bordering on ugly and repulsive, :) has a host of problems and it is not new or even nice by any means, but it is an F-350 1 ton 4x4 with no rust or rot and that, in itself, is worth a lot because these things are getting old and are hard to find. If you would like to talk about the truck, feel free to call, text or e-mail. I will be more than glad to talk to you. I am just a common man with good principals and I treat folk's well. It's good policy. God bless you all. Here is that number: 1-859-553-6538.On May-10-14 at 13:09:58 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had some question's concerning this truck's mechanical condition, replaced parts, driveline condition, etc, etc and if I would end the auction early for a buy it now price. I have decided to put a buy it now on there and let it end early if someone wanted to get the ball rolling on it. I was driving the truck today and it seemed pretty peppy out here on the farm. The engine is snappy and really, really strong. It rev's quickly and has a nice, even idle. The trans seems just fine. The brakes need bled and the batteries are junk. I did notice that a previous owner has completely rebuilt the entire a/c system on it. It has all new hoses and a new a/c compressor. It has a new alternator, new idler pulley, new tensioner and a few other parts. It should be a excellent parts truck or rebuilder. Have a good day :)
