1986 Conquest Absolute auction. A REAL no reserve auction. History My dad bought this car from the original owner. It was originally sold in Florida to a doctor. We bought is maybe 3-4 years ago. We had an 85 and my dad got this is an impulse buy. He ‘made’ me buy it from him. The car has never seen snow or has never been smoked in. I’d be surprised if I’ve put 500 miles on this car. I use it as a zip-around car on nice days. I drove it 60 miles one way to work this morning. Runs like a champ. Clear title in my name. I replaced the rear wheel bearings and rear axle extension shaft and gear. Condition Body: Not a speck of rust on the car. It has various paint chips up front. It may have had one repaint. I can’t tell. There is a stone chip in the windshield. The front air dam is cracked at both corners. No my doing. No evidence of accidents Interior Excellent condition no rips. Doesn’t stink. Widows work Fine. Rear defrost: fine. Wipers: fine. Factory radio and cassette player work. No AM. I think it’s the antennae. The radio shows AM but just hisses. All gauges work. AC does not work but the heat does and it blows out all selected vents like it should. Cruise control works. Has interval wipers, I have not had the occasion to use them. Engine/trans/Mechanical The car starts right now and does not blow smoke. The valve cover is leaking. No mods done at all to the car. Shifts perfectly, no noises. The tires are in good shape a little noisy but plenty of meat left . The car may need struts. They creek a little when you turn. The rims are nice. Has an exhaust leak. Will need rear pipe/muffler. I have one but it does not look stock so I did not put it on. You can have it. Summary Overall this is a good example of a 1986 Conquest. It has not been messed with. Jump in and go. Not the fastest car in the world, but who cares. But, it’s a 1986. Therefore it is old. Everything I know about the car is listed here. Terms Let’s not play games. There is no reserve.
