Check out this SUPER RARE LAEGERS 3 Wheeler with 1985 Ported CR500 motor. Laegers made this kit in the 1990s which converted a CR500 into the meanest 3 wheeler ever built. It uses the CR500 frame, tank, and forks and custom sub-frame with the addition of many of the ATC250r components- fenders, brakes, seat, hubs axle etc. Motor is has been professionally ported and features a 41mm Mikuni carb with K&N Filter/Outewear (no airbox). BIKE IS SUPER FAST and light with great torque and top end. To fix the hard starting issues of the early CR500, I installed an electronic 2001 CR250r ignition. This has made a world of difference in starting the bike and offer a better power delivery than the original ignition. The bike is a reliable and easy starter whether it is hot or cold. Power delivery is more usable as well and makes for an awesome ride. This CR250r ignition conversion is the only way to go for these earlier CR500 motors. Seat tilts up to start the bike. Twist throttle with Oury grips. The 1985 CR500's are said to produce the most power over the later "detuned" versions. Bike also features an FMF Chrome CR500 Fatty pipe (no longer made) that offers great power in all RPM ranges and really screams on top. The top end has 15-20 hours on it and is fully broken in and perfectly jetted for sea level. The frame has been POWDERCOATED. Axle, chain, sprockets, clutch cover, ignition cover, kick starter, DG Silencer etc. are NEW. Fenders are OEM Honda and are in great shape. They were purchased right before Honda discontinued them for the atc250r. The front fender I would rate a 9 and the rear an 8. Swingarm is a +10 Laegers and the axle is a chrome Lonestar +4 adjustable. Jug is polished. Swingarm, axle, pegs and subframe are CHROME. Front tire is brand new and rear holeshots are 90%. I have 10" rear 8 paddle Skat Trak Haulers on Douglas rims if buyer wants them INSTEAD of rear Holeshots. Buyer will choose EITHER rear dirt or sand, not both. I have owned this bike for about 10 years and hate to see it go. I have spent big bucks to get this bike to its current condition. Too many toys, so need to make some space. This is no backyard hack job and looks like Honda made it from the factory. If you ever wanted a CR500 motor is an ATV- this is the way to go. The geometry of the frame and 3 wheels keeps vibration to a minimum- much different than if mounted in a TRX250r frame. Bike has always been on the West Coast and includes a clean TITLE.
