Vehicle Detail

This Mustang received complete body metal restoration in 2000. It has been storage ever since. New Parts: (installed) Rear spring bushing kit, leaf spring eye bolts, splash shield kit, U Bolts, outer wheel house R, Inner wheel house R, Inner wheel house L, trunk brace reinforce, trunk brace LH cap, trunk brace RH cap, inner trunk bracket LH, inner trunk bracket RH, trunk brace, FR fender splash shield R/L, FF RR splash shield R/L, rear spring bushing kit, RR spring shackle kit, Torque box conv RH & LH, RH rear floor ext. kit, LH lower front rocker panel kit, RH lower front rocker panel kit, RH floor to firewall ext kit, LH floor to firewall ext kit, gas tank with drain, conv reinforce plate, RH lower reinforce pan, LH lower reinforce pan, 2 conv inner floor frame sup, LH full frame rail LH CVT, RH full frame rail RH CVT, LH front fender, Tail light panel, 4 drain hole covers (floor pan kit), rocker panel kit LH, LH conv inner rocker panel kit, LH outer rocker panel kit, RH rocker panel kit, RH conv inner rocker panel kit, RH outer rocker panel kit, seat access plug button 8 (floor pan kit), RH trunk floor, LH trunk floor, windshield weather strip, RH front fender. All of these were professionally installed and are not rusted. $12,500 in parts and labor was spent to get the car to present state in 2000. All four door hinges are new. Doors line up and close nicely. I have the invoice for the work done. Additional Parts: (not installed) Early Bronco 9" rear axle and differential (no axles) big bearing. Speedway Mustang II PS Rack & Pinion kit including tubular upper and lower control arms, coil springs, shocks, disc 5 lug brakes, Heidt's spring tower covers (cost $1700+ for this IFS kit) Stock interior, extra instrument bezel 5 gauge. New horn ring, tail lights and some other misc pieces. All original parts are included. Monte Carlo brace. No engine or transmission. Original PS is intact. Originally a 6 cylinder automatic car. My plan was for restomod V8, but nothing has been done that would compromise taking it back to stock. Car is a power top. Has the hydraulics and pump. No top covering, radiator or master cylinder. The interior is the original and base, not pony. I'm pretty sure everything is there to complete the car, but you may want new parts if you go to the trouble of a paint job. You would need fastener kits for completion, but that is usual. Interior kits are very reasonable for new! NPD, Mustangs Unlimited, California Mustang for just a few vendors. The IFS is a complete kit that is sold by Speedway Motors (similar to Heidts). Power rack and crossmember. Still in boxes and is new last fall. This gives you 5 lug disc brakes and ability to install larger engines/headers. Heidts shock tower delete panels included. Lowered spindles. Upper and lower tube control arms. This eliminates the struts. Can't emphasize enough that the metal work on this car is done! Car is at the sealer/primer/filler/fitting stage. Parts in 2000 cost $3600. Labor to do the parts: $9000. IFS $1700. Previous owner insisted on Ford Parts for metal replacement. Some of the uninstalled pieces have ford labels. (inner splash guards, weather strips, etc) On Apr-23-14 at 13:02:07 PDT, seller added the following information: Floors had some light surface rust inside. I wire brushed them and painted with primer to prevent any more. Two pictures to show it was very light and after primer applied. Did all 4 floor pans, left the rest of the interior with previous dark gray primer. On Apr-23-14 at 13:56:44 PDT, seller added the following information: Forgot to add: Car is for sale locally. I reserve the right to end auction early. Thanks! On Apr-24-14 at 07:05:07 PDT, seller added the following information: This car is 1/2 way to being a $25,000-$45,000 car, depending on how you finish it. All the prior costs are in your pocket when you buy this car! Getting close to the reserve being off.On Apr-25-14 at 10:22:40 PDT, seller added the following information: Some math: Parts, short list of just the major items and no supplies: $4,100 Front Suspension kit: $1,750 Parts total? $5,850 How much would cutting and welding cost? You are buying a car that removes the risk of buying that eBay "clean, no rust" problem child. Restored/restomod convertibles bring big money. You will be getting the benefit of the first half done of restoration done and at a bargain price. You don't want the project? Tell a friend that might. (if you want the original engine and trans, I think I can put you in touch with the previous owner who still has it I believe. I didn't want it)On Apr-27-14 at 04:50:42 PDT, seller added the following information: Reserve has been lowered.
