This is for a classic pre Cali-smog 1974 K5 4X4 Blazer full convertible in excellent condition and with many mods. I bought it a couple years ago here in NORCAL and barely use it. I bought it for the mods. Now I want a 96-97 lifted Cummins 12v lifted 4x4 so this goes. Once a month I have locked the Warn hubs and driven it to keep the seals lubed. This truck needs nothing to drive anywhere, and with the 33” tires and 6” lift it can go just about anywhere…. Engine/Trans: 327 short block (rated at at least 340 hp) with humpback heads, Edelbrock intake and Carb. K & N Filter. Basically a Vette engine with a lot less than 10k miles. Chassis reads 86,XXX. Speedo works. Dual Flowmasters exhausts with painted headers. Always starts. Battery 1 year old. Aftermarket gauges show high oil psi and low coolant temps at all times (160-175). This engine sounds mean, nice lope at idle, with a lot of power! Uses no oil, does not smoke, and is totally in character with the rest of the truck. The trans was rebuilt by the last owner who used it to hunt. I believe it is a TH-400 with a shift kit. All shifts are strong, positive, and right now. Top speed is about 85 but the speedo reads low due to the oversized tires. Cooling system was just serviced. EMP proof old school ignition with mega coil. Truck does not miss a beat once warm. MSD ignition wiring. Electrics/Climate Control: Heat, fan wipers. A/C system is there but you will need to supply a compressor and bracket. All lights work including dome. Rear power window works perfectly. Fuel gauge works but I don't trust it much. Bumper mounted large 8” heavy chrome Dick Cepak lights.Warn 9K winch mounted on heavy custom bumper. Doubt if it has been used. 4X4: NP-205 Transfer case with DANA-44 axle. Power steering leaks a little but not enough to do anything about yet.Power brakes: shoes new 1 k miles ago. Brakes are great. Stainless brake lines. Parking brake holds. Interior: Split bench is clean, no tears/holes, etc. Rear fold down bench( removable) is of a different color and it operates well. Front bench has newer 4 point harnesses. Rear bench has seat belts. Custom gauges and steering wheel with tilt. Tach. This truck comes with over $500 in seals and new weatherproofing for the three windows and doors. I never got around to installing them, but the truck has been watertight even without them. Windows roll down and up but are very sluggish; new window seals are included. Paint/ corrosion/body: Like new wheel arches, surface rust only on undercarriage. This is a California vehicle. There is little rust on the body; see pics. Paint feels rough like the skin of a shark. I believe this truck would be a good candidate for restoration if you want to do that. Flat desert camouflage paint easy to touch up. Floors are rock solid. Rhino-like covering on most of the floor, I don’t know if this covering is stock. The body looks very good for a 40 year old truck with very few areas to correct to make it perfect. Hood is slightly “sprung” but locks securely, and the Master lock is to protect 1 year old battery. Heavy duty step bars. Includes swing out spare wheel carrier, not pictured, which can be remounted. Clear title. Suspension/Tires: Truck has a 6” lift. For rock crawling or cross country you can disconnect and lock up the front antisway bar for better articulation: each side is now independent. Includes 6 matching wheels and 35” tires, two tires are brand new never used but are mounted and balanced. These two spares are not pictured. I have described this vehicle to the best of my ability.
