This NICE 1999 Mercury Villager has been donated to our non-profit organization, and we have not physically driven the vehicle ourselves. This is the same vehicle as the Nissan Quest! We understand that this Mercury runs and drives well, has 109,314 miles on it, and that the tires, brakes, exhaust, and glass are all in good condition. The AC blows cold front and rear, and the van has 2nd row captain's chairs as well! There is however an issue with the reverse gear. The transmission has been flushed, filter replaced, tested, and worked fine in warm weather. No metal shavings! In cold weather it will go in reverse after startup, but into drive then back to reverse it does not always respond until warmed up. Sometimes, stopping then re-starting it will go in reverse. The van is in good condition in and out (see pics), has recently had the distributor replaced ( known issue in these vans ), along with a new timing belt, serpentine belts, and the radiator has been flushed and filled. This van also has a Multi-CD changer and cassette player, receiver hitch for towing, plug in engine heater, and the "haze" has been polished off the headlight lenses. The radio LED display is out (have to search for stations), but the unit works fine. Also, the battery is now 5 years old and will need to be replaced soon. The paint and body are in VERY GOOD condition with no rust... probably due to being garaged most of it's life!
