Freshly Rebuilt CR 500 For Sale with Parts. About 8 Hours on engine/bike since overhaul Powder coated frame New Stock Cylinder, non-ported with new piston and head Aftermarket RAD Valve Aftermarket Pro-Circuit Exhaust/expansion Chamber. Aftermarket super-fly flywheel Aftermarket K&N Filter New Seat Cover New Front/Rear wheel bearings and dust seals New steering stem bearings races, upper and lower New crankshaft bearing seals Overhauled front fork and rear shock assembly Overhauled carburetor, stock setting except idle jet changed to size 57 jet. Main Jet is still stock. New front/rear sprocket and o-ring chain New clutch and throttle cable Greased all rear suspension needle bearings. Known Issues Front Brake works when brake lever is pulled aggressively/hard. Brake bleeds down when brake lever is pulled slowly. The master cylinder needs to be rebuilt I believe. Tires leak down after about 2 weeks. Tires are old but in decent shape. Probably needs a new set if going to do hard riding/racing. Many Extras including the following Owners manual and shop manual fresh cylinder bored out to 50 mm cylinder head reed valve 2 pistons, 1 is stamped 50mm over-sized, other appears to be original piston wrist pin and needle bearing several sets on piston rings, new. Some over-sized, some standard several new intake gaskets several new cylinder head gaskets several new cylinder base gaskets carburetor gaskets carburetor idle jet sizes 65, 62, 60, and 55 water pump impellor and seal front dust brake cover universal exhaust pipe guard other various bolts old sprockets old exhaust/expansion chamber old clutch cable Shipping: Buyer assumes all shipping cost/arrangements. Would prefer local pickup but I'm willing to help out in whatever way possible with shipping. Boxing/crating, etc. I live in South Louisiana. I'm able to drive 2-3 hours to meet and transfer bike if that helps out. Bike History. I purchased the bike from a family friend who was moving out of town. I don't know history before that. I know he rode the bike for a while before diss-ambling for overhaul and that is when I purchased the bike. The frame and swing arm doesn't show any signs of repair. I can't find any signs of welding or repair to the frame and swing arm. No TITLE, but bill of sale will be issued. The 8 hours on the bike since overhaul is all open field riding. No racing/hill climbs. I really, really do not want to see the bike parted out. This is a really cool vintage bike that's a blast to ride.
