This 1967 4.2 Liter XKE Roadster is the most desirable E-type there is. The car has a 1967 2+2 coupe identification. A good roadster body shell was attached at the firewall to make it into a roadster. The engine and chassis match the commission plate. The body of course is different and a 4.2 synchromesh gearbox with the shorter tail shaft was installed to compensate for the roadster body. The engine turns freely and is 100% complete, it should start up without a major rebuild. All in all the body isn't the worst out there, it does have some bumps and bruises on it. The worst part is the bonnet. There is a new rear belly pan in the car. The floors and the sills are in decent condition on it as well. What I see missing is the jack, the tools, the headlight buckets in the bonnet and the motif bar on the front of the bonnet. There are probably some bits and pieces missing as well, but we mentioned the major parts that we can see. The interior is what it is. Obviously the car is going to need a total restoration.
