Vehicle Detail
Sold as is , Not running blown head gasket , blowing white smoke when running. Car was a daily driver and was running good until head gasket problem, tranny and 4x4 was in working order, but sold as not running .I was gonna fix it myself but I just don't have the time. Car will run and move. But should be towed away when pick up and will be towed I will not let anyone drive it away for fear of over heating . Pick up is on winning bidder. Condition is fair for a car this age.Everything need's cleaning from sitting. I was given 3 verbal quote's on how much to fix it and all were $1600. I'm the second owner my friend owned and bought it new from the dealer as a demo car with low mileage. Need's Battery. Buyer must pick up car, no delivery Must pay right away with paypalOn Mar-24-14 at 17:26:20 PDT, seller added the following information: People are asking what the Reserve limit is so everybody and not the few know 's it is $1700.00 same car not too long ago with higher mileage and blown head gasket sold for $ 2300. This same car sells any were between $ 4500 and $6500 some with higher mileage. Please do your research there are plenty for sale to check. The engine was never over heated, the head gasket problem is a common problem I'm told with this year ,they used single layer head gasket's a good set of multi layered modern head gaskets should solve the problem and head bolt's about $200 figure in a good valve job while the heads are off maybe $500 The car parted out is worth a lot just look up how much a high mileage engine sells for like $2300On Mar-24-14 at 18:11:42 PDT, seller added the following information: Car run's and drive ,there were no problem's with tranny or 4x4 or any knock's in engine , I had the car running about 4 month's ago and let it run for about an hour maybe more I could not get it to over heat it ran normal temp. it did blow white smoke when I would bring the rpm s up, the white smoke smelled nasty like bad fuel not like sweet anti freeze smell, I did not lose any anti freeze when I was testing it out.The car runs rough when it idles and will stop , engine smooths out as rpm's go up there are no noise's ( like tapping noise from a blown gasket in head or exhaust or timing chain slap) . I put my laser temp gun to the exhaust ports and all ran about 260 to 360 in temp one ran real low like 120 to 160 in temp. It might need a new injector( Could be dumping fuel) and good fuel and not a head gasket, I can't say because I did not leak test or compression test the engine. That said I've been a hobby mechanic about 37 year's, so I do know alittle about car's. But I make no claim's that car will run, that's why I'm selling as is . If it don't sell the weather's get warmer and I'll make the time to fix it and sell it for 5 grand .
