Vehicle Detail
Restored vehicle still under break in period. Less that 500 miles on new 1500 CC engine rebuilt to 9.75:1 compression with flat top pistons, mild road cam, dual roller timing chain, high volume oil pump, enhanced oiling to the front two rod bearings (a weak spot on factory engines) GM alternator conversion, Euro spec dual SU HS4 carbs, 4 into 1 header with Monza/Pacesetter dual exhaust, External oil cooler, radiator was new when I purchased car so it has about 300 miles on it. Dual electric fans were added to keep her running very cool. reconditioned 4 speed electric OD trans, rebuilt suspension, new master cylinder, copper brake lines, rotors, pads, shoes, wheel cylinders, drums and rotors, calipers rebuilt. Body taken to bare metal, epoxy primed, primed blocked and painted with base clear PPG Russet Brown, the original color. Carpet matched to paint and seats reupholstered in a soft tan vinyl. Top in great shape with no rips or cracks in clear windows. Back center window zips out. Wheels are 15 in 18Racing minilight replicas in 15x7 with 195/50/15 tires that set this car off and take it from scrawny to brawny. Engine upgrades should bring this motor to around 110-115 horse power. Stock was around 80. This car has air shocks in the rear to level. The rear has a rebuilt transverse spring with new Teflon spacers. This car does not have the typical Spitfire sag on the left side that most of them do. It sits square, rides and drives great and handles like its on rails. Car comes with Tonneau cover, boot, and all original smog pump, and stock parts removed for performance parts. What may or may not be done before sale: Doors need adjusting to close properly, Rear differential seals need replaced and I have them and may get them in before the sale. No promises. Like I stated earlier, need very little tweeking. Shows great, runs great, and drives great. Turns heads and thumbs up at the cruise-ins and on the street. A fun car.
