Vehicle Detail
Two owner (I am the second owner) 1971 Dodge Challenger. Shows 16723 on the odometer so probably 116xxx. Car was almost all rebuilt in 1999 then never driven. It was garage kept except for two years under a carport. Less than 500 miles on all new drive train. Runs very good, lots of power. Factory big block 383 (L) code air conditioned car. Car has a fresh 383 Magnum in it now but I have the original 383 two barrel engine too. Has all fresh original trans, sure grip rear, 383 Magnum engine, power steering, suspension, dual exhaust, battery, disc brakes, completely serviced, front end completely rebuilt. Nice interior, has dash protector and dash is not cracked. Has original white paint and possibly the vinyl top too. All tires are brand new including the spare. Could use some fresh paint and the door dings taken out. Only has two tiny nickle size rust spots in the whole car, one low down on the drivers door and one on the top inside right fender lip (see pictures). I have the replacement door skin for the drivers door. AC is present but not working at this time. I just haven't had time to get it going. This car was special ordered locally at Auge Boys in Belen, New Mexico in late 1970. It has always been a local car. The original owner was leaning towards making this into a R/T clone but never finished it. I bought the car from the original owner a couple years ago. He gave me a file of receipts and the original order sheet. I also have the build sheet. Extras that go with it: Trunk lid trim, left door skin, R/T side scoops and templates, original 383 engine with air cleaner. This car is nice and clean all through and under the car is the same. Underside is clean and looks real good. I believe it was undercoated from day one. Floors, trunk and all the rest is solid. .
