I am selling this for my son, my knowledge of these types of bikes are limited, so if need be I can have you call him directly with any special questions you may have in regard to anything I cannot answer......... Im sellling this Suzuki Lt 500 for my son.... I bought him a pretty expensive KTM 640 enduro, and he traded it for this quad even up without my knowledge he only rode it a couple of times, and figured out that this machine was much different than a 4 stroke street bike........ it scared the hell out of him........ It has had a recently fresh rebuild on the motor, and runs very strong. High compression...................... " you can hurt your foot starting it if you dont know what you are doing".................... "Power delivery is quick and unforgiving", it will go as fast as you can shift...... he said that alot of people want these because they don't make an open class 2 stroke quad anymore since alot of people probably got hurt on them the closest thing to it was the Yamaha Banshee................. which was only a 350 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I would say it is in very good shape for its age, has some scratches and signs of use.... some corrosion in places, It is not new, perfect, or mint..................... however is a very tight machine, and considering it is 25 years old, I would say has been pretty well taken care of that might just need a spring check over from a tech to be on the safe side before you get serious with it.... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ... It has some aftermarket parts, which I guess are pretty expensive, I did some checking around and saw people buying these motors for quite a bit of money ...................1000+ depending on the builder, I know I could get my money back if I parted it out............, but I need my garage space, and am willing to take a loss to quickly move this machine.!!!!!!!!!!!. You will have to pick it up in La porte Indiana, which is an hour from Chicago, and easily accessible by many major highways and Indiana toll road.... We had video of starting it up for the first time, but I cant get it to load to Youtube....... I will see If he can send you the video of it running if you like........ Thanks for looking!!
