What happens when italian design,swedish engineering and american enginuity meets? Well than a Volvo 1800S V6 is born. For sale Volvo 1800S that no longer just looks fast,but it has the guts to back up the look. It looks stock and classy on the outside for the untrained eye.But once you shift into first gear and drop the clutch this volvo takes off! The body is clean with no rust or body damage,paint is beautiful volvo red. The rocker covers and the floorboards are solid. The chrome is clean,although shows some patina wear.The windshield gaskets and door seals are new,including the rear quarter glass seal(200$,unbelievable). Beautiful chrome wheels with brand new tires. The interior is black and was redone,with the exception of the rear bench seat,thats still original. Carpet is new,front seats reupholstered,door cards redone.New headliner was also installed along with new lap safety belts. Upper and lower dash redone and it looks perfect. The speedometer and tachometer are dolphin gauges which were retrofitted.The gas ,oil press and clock are stock and they work. The factory water temp gauge works perfect. The cool 2 spoke steering wheel was wrapped in black leather. Aftermarket radio works just fine. AC unit tucked nicely under the dash. Adapted pedal operated E-brake is a cool and safe addition. Dash mounted rear view mirror looks great,although totally useless usually.It is factory original,afterall. The drivetrain is where the fun starts. The engine is a 2007 4.3L V6 Vortec engine,commonly found in mid size SUV,silverados etc.Essentially its a 350 minus 2 cylinders. This motor is good for about 280hp and 250 lbs of torque.It has a edelbrock high rise intake with a performance 650 4 bbl carb and a cold air intake. Custom made headers which collect into a Y pipe and single exhaust.Stock muffler keeps it quiet. AC compressor and lines installed,will need a recharge of modern r134 refrigerant. Huge 3 core radiator cools the engine well.AC condenser installed in front of the radiator. Brand new battery. Power is transmitted through a T5 transmission into a 10 bolt posi rear end.4 trailing arms hold the rear end in place. Front disc brakes,rears are upgraded with huge drum brakes ,they work well. This week I installed new KYB gas shocks,sway bar poly bushings and new tie rods. This car is a lot of fun to drive.Its clean,classy and looks stock.Easy to drive ,gets decent gas mileage.The gearing is very nice and the engine runs quietly on the highway. At about 70 mph the RPM stays just below 2k in 5th speed. It has a clean california title and current registration.
