Vehicle Detail

I recently purchased this CJ2A. I really have to many projects so I'm going to send this one on down the road hopefully. I looked at it in not the best light and thought it was much better than it actually is. Here goes: The Jeep is mechanically sound. All running gear was gone through and any damaged or worn parts were replaced. The engine was inspected and deemed in good shape and put back together. The Jeep sat in a garage for about a year. I've replaced the water pump. I've driven it quite a bit and it performed as good or better than others I've owned. The engine is quiet, and transmission and transfer case shift as they should. Engine holds good oil pressure and operates at about 190deg. even though shroud is missing. The previous owner (PO) replaced all the rusted metal in the body. This includes the floors and hat channels. He really did a good job. He covered all the horizontal surfaces in the tub with rubber material. Not really my thing but he did a good job and overall it looks good. I suspect there's undercoating under the matting but not sure. More on that later. The seats are freshly covered in a tan vinyl/leatherette material. There are seat belts front and rear. There is a roll bar that goes with the Jeep but its not installed. Now for the rest of the story. The PO evidently got tired of the project. This shows in the paint and the way he put the undercoating inside the tub with a brush. 25ft away or going down the road, it looks fabulous. Get up close and you see all the sanding scratches and imperfections. It is red though. The matting inside the Jeep is belting from some factory. It looks OK, just not my thing. Like I said, runs and drives great. Stops good, remember they're 1947 brakes.Tires are new Goodyear Wranglers. Really a do over on the paint would make all the difference. Clear title in hand. $500 non-refundable deposit within 48 hours by Paypal. Cash on pickup within 7 days unless prior arrangements are made. If you have less than 10 feedback or more than one negative, don't bid, I will cancel and block your bid. Ask all question before bidding. Thanks.
