Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 1974 Triumph TR6 Only 19,053 Original MilesVery Rare Optioned TR6 Excellent Condition Second Owner Since New Has To Be One Of The Lowest Miles Original Cars In Existence This 1974 Triumph TR6 has to be one of the lowest mileage, original cars to exist. I am the second owner and purchased the car in July 1998 with 14,000 miles. The car drives and looks like it is brand new. The paint, chrome, top, interior, and undercarriage are excellent condition. The paint job looks new, not a single scratch, no fading, etc. There is absolutely no rust on the car, including undercarriage. The car was original purchased in Maryland and keep in climate controlled storage and driven a total of 14,000 miles from 1974 to 1998 when I purchased it. I have driven it 5000 miles in the last 15 years. I have driven it every summer and put about 350 miles on it each summer. I am a believer that these must be driven to keep everything working well plus it runs a couple tanks of gas each year. Also stored for the winter with full tank with stable. When a vehicle is stored with a full tank it prevents condensation in the tank preventing the tank rusting. This TR6 has been maintained well with regular maintenance items performed as necessary. Everything works, radio, heat, lights, wipers, all gauges, etc. The only thing this car needs is new windshield wipers. The wipers work, rubber going (since I have never driven this in the rain it has not been a concern). This TR6 came new with the factory luggage rack, factory tonneau cover (still in original bag). This TR6 also has a very rare option, a chrome accent bar on the front and rear bumpers (in pictures). I have been to many British car shows over the years and have never seen another TR6 with it. I have not been able to find out how many were produced with this option but do know it is very rare. I have searched many times online and looked at many TR6’s over the years and have only seen one other pictured with this option. The car also has the factory car cover. I will also include the service manuals and mint condition brochures that match this car. I apologize for the pictures taken in the garage but the weather was not conducive to taking it out. Please contact me with any questions. This car will not disappoint.I am in the process of compiling a list of maintenance performed over the years, please contact me if interested and I will email it to you. We are selling this because we are moving soon and will not have room for it. Also, we have enjoyed the car for many years and it is time for someone else to enjoy it. When I use to show it in British car shows it won every time.Payment - deposit of $2,000.00 within 48 hours of close of auction. Balance of payment 5 business days.I reserve the right to cancel this auction at anytime. To the visible eye there are no cracks. This must be due to the flash and angle of the camera. On Jan-17-14 at 07:46:02 PST, seller added the following information: Below is a post I cut & pasted about the chrome accent bars on the front and rear bumpers. It is the only information I have found. As I mentioned, I have never seen one at the British cars shows I have gone to. I have only seen one other car pictured on the internet. From what I have been able to find out I believe this was a dealer installed option but not 100% positive about that. Ebay does not allow a link to be posted. RE: 1970 TR6 Bumpers? (dual bar) ] To: "William Subject: RE: 1970 TR6 Bumpers? (dual bar) From: "Fowler Date: Mon, 29 Apr 2002 13:24:11 -0500 There was a '71 at Regionals this weekend with a set; I understood from the owner that they were available from 1969 - and we speculated until '74 and the rubber overriders were fitted? They're also great for fitting badges, although owner mentioned that they were 1" in diameter so usual clips the big 3 sell won't work. Personally I like them and wish I'd had them on my '73 when I had it ..... I sold one other collector car on ebay 2 1/2 years ago. It was a Porsche 914-6 and the feedback is still showing when you look at my feedback. The feedback on that transaction was posted by "silverose" on Oct-2-11. Hopefully that helps.
