OVERVIEW
Between 1932 Fords and Classic Trucks, I am not sure which I sell the most of. To date, it is practically neck and neck, and I could count the number of times I said “I’m just going to keep this one” for each.
After buying this truck, spending a lot of time with the builder and prior owner, and spending about 250 miles behind the wheel, I really thought I was going to end up buying this one, but my other half thought wiser and told me I better sell it, so here it is!
This truck is so clean, so straight, drives so nice, and has so much going for it that I doubt it will last the whole 7 days before someone just buys it.
If you want a truck that can drive anywhere, win trophies at your local and regional shows, and sit patiently in the garage until you take it out again without needing to wrench on it, this is the truck for you!
DESCRIPTION
This truck was built by its prior owner for daily driver reliability, weekend car show trophy winning, and basic boulevard cruising.
It started with an original 3100 frame that was bead blasted, cleaned, and treated to POR rust preventative prior to being mated to the front clip from an early 80’s Z28 Camaro that was completely cleaned and rebuilt with new bushings, bearings, spindles, and coil-over shocks and more.
Once the two were professionally boxed and welded together, they were treated to chassis black, and the completely refurbished GM 10-bolt rear was installed with new shocks and leaf springs and a 3.53 gear set to make sure it cruised the highway as good as the boulevard.
Power is supplied by a MONSTER 375hp ENGINE FACTORY 350cid V8 that has less than 1,500 miles on it since installation AT the Engine Factory!

It is just over $7,000 to have them build this motor for you, and that does NOT include professional installation! All told, the prior owner spent a little over $10,000 JUST ON THE MOTOR AND TRANSMISSION setup in this truck!
One drive, and you know the money was well-spent though, because this truck is a MONSTER!
Hit the key and the electric choke brings this 375hp beast to life with a smooth, lopey idle that sounds great through the custom fabricated dual exhaust system.
Snick the WINTERS RACING built 350 Turbo transmission into gear, and the truck is ready to pounce when you are.
Hitting the gas pedal brings all those ponies to life in a hurry, and the truck has plenty of power to smoke the tires if that’s your thing.
It also hooks up nicely under a well-balanced foot, and will rip off the line leaving opponents wondering what the heck is under the hood!
Shifting is smooth, sure, and doesn’t jerk you or your passenger heads off thanks to a mil, street-friendly shift kit and highway gearing.
The truck is really freeway friendly, and cruises along with traffic without complaint.
The prior owner said he drove it about 75 miles twice a week for quite a while, and I have personally driven it over 4 hours to Daytona Beach and it handled the freeways and back roads like it was a new truck!
NO OVERHEATING problems with this truck, thanks to a massive, custom built aluminum radiator with attached aluminum shrouded electric fan from RaceCraft. The truck stays around 184 degrees most of the time, and if you are sitting in stop and go traffic for a half hour with the air on, it will creep up to 200, but will go back down the moment you move a little. Under normal driving with A/C on, the truck doesn’t move much over that 184 mark.
It handles fantastic, and you can steer it with one finger on the wheel! No herky-jerky steering wheel feel, and it tracks straight and true.
Ride is soft enough to make long trips a joy, but firm enough to let you have a little fun on the twisty parts of the road.
The truck rides on RIDLER 675 Series Aluminum and smoke wheels which are in exception condition, and are wrapped in COOPER Radial GT tires up front, sized P235/60R15, and PERFORMANCE RADIALS in back, size P275/60R15. The tires have plenty of tread left on them, and should last for quite a while.
The hood is a custom flip-forward design that works great, and lets you really show off the motor at shows!
The engine bay is clean and finished, and looks great.
The motor itself is beautiful too, and should clean up even nicer when you get the truck home and detail it. The combination of bright paint, polished aluminum, chrome, and billet really catches the eye, and even looks fantastic dirty!
The bed of the truck is clean finished, and the wood, while not PERFECT, is still quite beautiful and fully functional.
The stainless bed strips and hardware look fantastic, and the bed also holds the relocated fuel door with its flush mount opener affixed to a bed strip via magnets for easy use.
The aluminum 15 gallon racing tank is from SPaL, and looks and works great!
All of the chrome and bright work on the truck looks fantastic, including the chrome bumpers, headlamp bezels, turn signal bezels, door handles, and wipers.
The original mirror has a light patina that looks great, but is easy and inexpensive to replace if you wanted to.
Blue dot vintage style tail lights house rear brake, running, and signal lights.
Clear vinyl covers the tail gate chains to protect the paint, and the tail gate opens and closes like it should.
The body on the truck is very clean and nice, but not a $60,000 trailer queen body.
The gorgeous finish that will have everyone saying its black is actually GM MING BLUE from the 1996 S10 truck line, and it looks amazing!
Shiny, slick and wet with the reflective qualities of a mirror make the finish really pop in the sunlight or under the street lamps glow.
Yes, it does have a few minor blemishes and marks from being driven and enjoyed like a real truck should be, but nothing that really detracts from the overall appearance of the truck as you can see in the 75 extra-large photos below.
Stone chips, tiny scuffs, and other minor blems and marks are what you’ll see on a hands and knees inspection, but the truck still snaps necks like a chicken farmer going down the road, and will have you posing for more Interstate photos than you ever thought possible.
The body is solid, everything fits well, and you can run a 4”x4” felt covered magnet over the whole truck and it will stick.
Inside, the cab floor was covered in heat/sound insulation before being treated to a new black banded and trimmed automotive grade carpet.
The seat is a refurbished original bench, and has no rips, tears, or staining. IT is very comfortable, and with the relocated gas tank, offers plenty of room for even you six foot plus drivers. Dual lap belts buckle you in for safety.
The dash is clean and painted to match, and the original dash insert and gauges are in place, although the speedometer cable broke on the prior owner and he never got a chance to replace it because he was too busy driving it.
The glove box and ashtray both function as they should, as does the 12v cigar outlet.
Wipers work, headlamp switch works, and the Classic Audio AM/FM digital tuner with MP3 plug sounds great through the custom stereo speakers in the cab.
VINTAGE AIR supplied the heating and cooling system for the truck, and it is an R134A system with ice cold air, warm heat, and defrost functionality that works perfectly from the vintage style control panel with center and side vents.
A GM tilt steering column works fantastic, and has signal and hazard switches. It is topped by a DINO sport steering wheel with leather cover that is in good condition.
A SUNPRO Super Tach is mounted to the drivers left, and appears to be accurate.
An under dash push button AAAAAAOOOOOGAH horn works great, and sounds killer!
The hand actuated emergency brake works and releases just fine.
An AUTOGAUGE chrome mini cluster resides under the dash with OIL, VOLT, and WATER TEMP gauges.
The whole truck was re-wired with an EZ WIRE harness, and you can look at the under hood pictures to see how cleanly and professionally they were layed out.
Driver side sun visor is like new, and the chrome door pulls and window rollers look fantastic too!
Seals, weather-stripping, and fuzzies are all in very good condition and seal up well.
Overall the whole truck is in very good condition, and looks great! You can hop in and drive anywhere you want to go RIGHT NOW, and it does not need lots of wrenching and maintenance to keep it on the road.
If you want a fast truck that will turn heads and smoke tires, plus take you on that Route 66 cruise you’ve been dreaming about, this is it! This could be your daily if you wanted, but it’s probably a bit too nice for that.
The truck is ready to roll right now, and needs nothing to drive and enjoy as it sits. I have driven it over 400 miles and find it to be an absolute joy to cruise in. It has been parked at the back of the shop so I can use it as my go-to vehicle for cruising around town on little errands, and I just freaking love it.
If you come and see it in person, you will buy it. It’s as easy as that.
There is over $10,000 invested in JUST the motor and transmission on the truck, and the rest of the build is only a few years old as well.
It is titled in FLORIDA as a 1957 Chevrolet, and is free of all liens.
