Vehicle Detail
Very rare, professionally built, 1973 Volvo 1800es (wagon). This car sports a Honda F20C motor from a s2000 and the matching 6 speed manual transmission and it is a screaming monster. Car runs very very smooth and because of the power ban of the motor, it is tame as a stock Volvo until 5500 RPM and after that it gets all "Mr Hyde" on you. Its a perfect combination of style and performance. Four wheel disk brakes, working heater, lowered, sway bars and fast fast fast. This extremely light and high powered Honda 4-cylinder is completely counter to the cast iron pushrod tractor engine that the car was born with. But so what? The F20C is an awesome piece of F1-inspired engineering that revs to 9000 rpm and makes 240hp out of 2.0 liters - an incredible naturally aspirated specific power of 120bhp/L (Ferarri 458 Italia and Porsche GT3 territory). The F20C fits well in the 1800 engine bay and exhaust stays on the passenger side, just like stock. This car is tastefully shaved of its bumpers and emblems and, because of its rarity, is the focus of conversation each time I stop and you can often find cars jetting around to catch a glimpse (if they can catch up). Fell free to give me a call with any questions. 707-287-0376 Robert
