Vehicle Detail
This listing is for a clean 1949 Chevrolet pickup truck, 3100 model. I bought this on Ebay as a roller intending to install and engine and trans, do some wiring and have it on the road in a few weeks a year and a half ago. It was already painted blue, but basically I have properly corrected all the mechanical issues it had to make it road worthy and completed or redone everything other then the body work and paint it came with. I am going to redo the rear wheel wells next if I still own it after the Christmas Holiday and finish wiring in the alarm and power door locks then also. Below is a list of the NEW parts I installed: Entire wiring harness for body and drivetrain. Steering Column Steering wheel Carpet Dash assembly Gauges, w/tach (all properly connected and working 100%, including an amber check engine led bulb, etc.) Programmable speedometer Lokar Shifter Firestone Wide Oval 500 tires Front Brakes, rotors, calipers, wheel bearings, seals, hoses Rear brakes, wheel cylinders, drums Rear axle, 3.73:1 gear set, posi, bearings and seals Headlight buckets Rear bumper and brackets Exhaust system. 2.5 inch pipe, w/3 chamber Flowmaster mufflers Driveshaft Diamond plate in bed, running boards, pedals and rear splash pan New cross members fabbed for bed, trans engine mounts Trans mount Transmission 4L60E professionally rebuilt with new torque convertor Headers Griffin Radiator Chrome radiator hoses Cold air intake system Hood hinges and their hardware Door seals Bear Claw Latch assemblies Inner door handles Outside door handles Outside mirror Door latch regulators Window regulators Glass channel front and rear Control arm bushings Ball joints upper Tie rod ends Centerlink Idler arm Bracing for front end custom built, along with radiator support Headlights Turn signal assemblies Ah-Oo-Gah horn Led system under running boards and in grill with dash mounted control Electric door locks Alarm system(not currently completed, in progress) w/power locks, pager system. Optional starter interrupt Ignition switch Electric wiper system, 2 speeds, plus intermittent Stainless wiper arms and blades Steering column drop and lower mount Airbrushed CHEVROLET on tailgate Ghost Flames added with hood repair(It did not have any latch or way to stay closed when purchased) Windshield stainless center bar AM/FM/CD player, with MP3 and BlueTooth capability(Kenwood) 6x9 speakers in custom box and back board(Where tank used to be) I'll edit in the brand later. Dynamat (undercarpet, firewall) LED turn signal indicators(green), brights(blue) and Check engine indicator(amber) Chrome Cooling fan Relays Dimmer switch Flasher Fuse panel Fuel pump and sender module Corvette regulated fuel filter Braided fuel line and fittings Alternator Power steering pump Braided Power Steering hoses and stainless fittings Steering universal joint(eliminate rubber rag joint near steering box) Stainless steel. They may be more, these are the NEW items I Could think of during the listing. NOTE: I would not hesitate to fly in and drive the truck across country if you felt the need toavoid shipping it home. Below are the used items I installed: 5.3 from a 2006 Silverado w/41,000 miles and a super clean engine under the valve covers and oil pan. I looked before I bought it and it is an awesome engine! Engine wiring harness (customized to eliminate circuits that are not needed for this application. ie, giant fuse panels) 03 Chrysler Sebring leather seats, power drivers seat and matching manual passenger seat Center console w/cupholders This truck was built on a 1994 S10 chassis and drives like an S10 with a Silverado 5.3 installed, but you sit a bit higher and it feels like it may actually be lighter. The engine and trans are from a 2006 model silverado. The fuel tank sits in the S10 location, so there are no worries about fuel in the cab, etc. I take this truck to Old Town regularly and have won two checkered flags with it. They say its random draw, but I never won one in the previous 19 years attending. ;) It gets plenty of hoots and hollers driving by and the Aa-Oo-Gah horn wakes up the sleepers and gets claps every time! I also drove it to Daytona for Turkey Rod run and it cruised at 70mph 2300 rpm averaging 26 mpg. Try that with a tired old over carb'd carb small block hot rod! NOTE: For the lucky ones who actually read the description and make it to the bottom a new video link is on my facebook page here> facebook under Jim Myers I am a Master Technician with 32 years experience and I built 95% of this truck. I have rewelded any sketchy welds, rebuilt, replaced or upgraded everything mechanical on this truck. But my heart is set on something older. 28-34 Ford pick up and the wife said something about paying some bills or something like that. I think. Thanks, best of luck on Ebay! Also: This truck has no warranty either expressed or implied. Seeing it in person is recommended since there are some spots where body work will need touch up for a picky buyer(like me). If the truck isn't sold in a few weeks, I will fix these things and the price will go up accordingly, or I will keep it a while longer and maybe even install the A/C i've been wanting to get for it. Wife thing again. :)
