My father, in the throes of an epic midlife crisis, decided to purchase his very first motorcycle. Four days later, he fell off. While traversing the George Washington Bridge. Fortunately, this story has a happy ending. He is banged up but will make a full recovery. Better, he's realized that he should probably take the bus from now on. Best, his foolishness is YOUR gain! We are selling his lightly used Honda CBR250R for, basically, whatever we can get. In the Battle of My Father vs. Motorcycle, the motorcycle definitely emerged victorious -- there is some cosmetic damage on the body and muffler, and probably the wheel should be realigned (see photo). Apart from that, to the best of my knowledge (including a brief repair estimate from a motorcycle repair shop) there is no serious structural damage. NEVERTHELESS, THIS MOTORCYCLE SHOULD NOT BE RIDDEN BEFORE A THOROUGH INSPECTION BY A QUALIFIED MECHANIC. THIS VEHICLE IS SOLD AS-IS AND BIDDERS ARE CAUTIONED THAT THERE MAY BE ADDITIONAL UNKNOWN DAMAGE. The winning bidder must pick up the bike at a storage facility on the Upper East Side or make arrangements for the vehicle to be picked up. We are willing to make reasonable accommodations around your schedule. We cannot, however, deliver the bike to you. Happy Holidays.
