I bought this Jeep seven years ago as a completed frame off restoration. It has been used as a local commuter (only 16,000 miles in seven years) kept exceptionally clean and meticulously maintained. I have what I believe are the original owners manual and service guide, an original AMC dealer brochure, and four original AMC key blanks (please see pics). Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE This CLEAN Scrambler comes with the inline six cylinder 258 with a Weber K551 carburetor. It also has comp cam, comp cam lifters and valve springs, Glyptal coating for quick oil return, high volume oil pump, MSD coil, and a high amp alternator. 4 speed manual transmission (T-176). Dana 300 transfer case. 2 1/2" Rancho suspension lift and steering stabilizer. Red Energy suspension body mounts, dust caps, bump stops, etc. Media blasted frame, painted with Eastwood chassis black. Body and most all small parts have been media blasted and painted. Color is 2001 Jeep Red. Bed is coated in Herculiner. 5 brand new Goodyear Wrangler 235/75R15 tires. Custom built bumpers by RODZRODZ. Auxiliary KC 6" day lighters and KC driving lights. Seats are Driver FX racing style. Lockable 10" Tuffy center console with Blaupunkt Alaska II CD player mounted in it. Tuffy sound wedges behind seats with 6x9 Pioneer speakers. Aftermarket plastic glove box and heater diffuser. 21 gallon polyurethane gas tank. Stainless steel rock guards on front and back lights. Also come with Bestop bikini top and Bestop half soft doors (black). Flowmaster 3 chamber exhaust. Sliding rear window in hardtop. Improved air intake on hood. Diamond plate rockers, rear corners, under tailgate, and between bumper and grille. Stainless steel bug shield on grille. Bug deflector. Custom scrambler decals. Stainless steel gauge cover plate. The only problems I know of are minor nicks in the paint, a small crack (approximately 1/2") in the driver’s side hard door on the inside just under the window (see picture). This seems to be a weak spot on the jeep doors. There is also a small amount of rust on both of the rear wheel wells. It is located at the top of each wheel well near the fender flare. Please see the pictures for a close up of both spots. Occasionally it has been a cold start, but I just pump the pedal a few times and it fires right up. It runs strong and handles great.
