1979 Lincoln Versailles This car is a very low mileage car (30,000 miles) in immaculate condition. It won a 1st place trophy in the 2009 Lincoln and Continental Owners club Mid-America National show, with a total of 96.5 point our of 100. Its light champagne exterior is excellent, with no dents or scratches, and the tan vinyl top is very nice. The original soft leather interior is flawless, and the carpet is like new. The fully carpeted trunk is beautiful. The car runs and drives as a new car would. It is fully optioned with all power equipment and cruise control. The air conditioning compressor and dryer have just been replaced, and the A/C blows cold. The current owner had the original twin venturi style carburetor replaced recently with a Holley two-barrel carburetor, which greatly improved the drivability of the car. The owner has the original twin venturi carburetor, air cleaner and pollution control parts, which can be replaced if a future owner wants to enter LCOC shows for judging. The tires have been replaced, although the original tires still had lots of tread. They were just too old to be trusted. Many other parts have been replaced as needed, including the belts and hoses. The car has polished alloy wheels rather than the simulated wire wheel covers. The elderly owner has a small collection of Lincoln automobiles, and is downsizing his collection. He has well over $10,000 invested, but is asking $7,500 for the car. The Lincoln Versailles has become hard to find in this condition, and rarely is one offered for sale on eBay in any condition.
