1988 Dodge Aries K-Car in amazingly good condition, has 145,810 miles, economical and peppy 2.2 liter fuel injected engine, and has recently been tuned up with new plugs, new brake rotors,calipers and pads, new shoes for the rear, new tires, new rear shocks, a new light grey headliner, and a new shift column bushing in the transmission selector. I purchased it from an older person in the Seattle, Washington area who identified herself as the first owner, and the original dealer paperwork and manual are still in the glove box. The car has always been in the California, Seattle, and Eastern Washington areas, so has seen no highway road salts. It has manual windows and locks, original AM radio and speaker, is not equipped with air conditioning, and everything works. No cracks in the vinyl dashboard. No modifications that I can see whatsoever. Underneath it is clean metal and paint with the expected rock chips, etc, but no rust of any kind. Exterior paint clearcoat is peeling on the top surfaces of the car. The car is a non-smoker vehicle, has no funny odors, and is watertight. With the 5-digit odometer I had originally believed it was a sub-100,000 mile car because of its good condition, but I have ordered the Carfax report and now know the car has 145,810 miles, not the 45,810 stated by the odometer. We used it for 18 months before my daughter headed off to college, and in the 5000 or so miles we have driven it it has been reliable and economical. It is a nice, economical, reliable car with excellent visibility and a comfortable upright driving position.
