Vehicle Detail
Rare and beautiful 1942 classic 1942 Chevrolet truck. This truck is complete in every way and ready to drive. The interior was just completely redone this past spring by Ray's Auto Upholstery in Ojai California. We fully sound proofed the entire cab, seat was rebuilt back to factory specification, we found 4 square Mohair cloth for the seat and head liner to match the paint and period correct brown naugahyde to match the paint scheme and all the minor little touches replaced and or fixed. In out first car show after having the interior done we took best in show at the first outing at the Santa Clarita Street Fair Car Show. There are no rattles of any kind inside this truck. She is perfect. It also has an aftermarket A/C that is hidden under the dash for cruising on those hot summer days and on those cold winter nights the heater has been rebuilt and works great too. The engine compartment and engine was completely redone from top to bottom just last year. I moved all the wiring under the dash, repainted the engine to match the exterior, added an engine compartment light, color coordinated cloth cover spark plug wires, refurbished an antique ooga horn and it works great, added a polished Offenhauser valve cover, new engine mounts, rebuilt the radiator. The exterior has a couple of very small blemishes but is still a show stopper at all the local Southern California car shows. It is a favorite of children I think because of the body style and old men because of the age. The engine is a 216 C.I. straight six that runs great. The engine bay looks as good as the rest of the truck. This is a war year truck and these are very rare. It comes with brand new YOM license plates and a "V" victory tag from WWII. The interior has a 1942 Hull compass (Old style GPS) and searchlights on both sides of the cab. If you have any questions please ask. I will get back to you as quickly as possible.
