This little car needs to be driven. I purchased the vehicle 5 years ago from the fire chief of Terra Haute, Indiana who did a ground up rebuild. The "Spunky Monkey" won first place in it's class at the South Florida Volkswagen car show. Garage kept. Starts and runs perfectly. Pans are solid. Engine is original with overhauled parts. New brakes, new headliner. Have the original book from the first owner that lists each and every oil change like clockwork. Some things have been modified - wheels, rear air shocks, but the car is still a "primitive" beetle. This is not a NEW car and the interior is not perfect! It's a 40 year old classic that needs to be driven. I have never taken this car on the road without getting big smiles and stories from others about their own VW memories! There's nothing like the sound of an air-cooled Volkswagen to turn heads! They love this car!!!
