This auction is for a 1970 International Harvester Scout 800A Aristocrat. The Aristocrat is a rare special edition Scout. 1,500 Scout Aristocrats were made by IH. I bought this Scout in 2004 with plans to restore. 10 years later, I have a newborn baby and would like to sell the Scout to someone who will be able to enjoy it. I had the Scout running back in 2004, but have never had it on the road. The body is in decent condition for a 44 year old vehicle but has significant rust through in the front floor boards. I have done my best to capture the condition of the body in the attached pictures. This Scout is being sold as-is. You are encouraged to come see this vehicle in person, if possible. I will answer any and all questions and can provide specific pictures upon request. This Scout will need to be towed. I removed the blue interior carpet when I purchased the Scout. You can see the glue from the carpet on the interior metal. On Nov-10-13 at 15:16:03 PST, seller added the following information: UPDATED INFO - 11/10/13: I charged the Scout battery last night. After a few cranks of the motor, the Scout started up and ran. I hooked up a temporary fuel supply to avoid potential of sucking up any water or debris that might be in the fuel tank. In 2006, I put in a new starter, wires, plugs, rotor cap, etc.... I also found the original dome light for the interior of the Scout. I believe this was part of the Aristocrat special package. The keys are original IH keys. I was also able to confirm that the VIN number is consistent with original Aristocrat VIN from the factory.
