Vehicle Detail
For Sale is a 1978 Chevrolet Camaro. The Car is in great running condition. I overhauled the motor in the summer of 2012. The transmission was overhauled in 2010. The body is in overall good condition, the floorboards, door skin, rear quarter and A pillars were all replaced. It had a new windshield in 2010. The front end including all of the ball joints, control arm bushings, tie rod ends, and body bushings have been replaced. I installed a new gas tank and fuel lines (steel) in 2011. I've replaced both front calipers, both rear wheel cylinders, brake lines, power booster and master cylinder in 2010. The seat upholstery, headliner, carpet, dash pad and door panels were all installed new in 2010. The body and paint is very presentable, but the paint job is coming up on four years old, and a few rust bubbles are starting to pop up. They are small enough to where they don't show up in pictures, you will have to see it in person. There is also rust on the driver side of the dashboard where it meets the base of the windshield. This is not a beginners car. It is a modified street car, more appropriate for those experienced with higher horsepower cars. The following is a list of performance goodies: The motor: Chevrolet 350 .030 over. 11:1 Sealed Power pop-up pistons. World Products Sportsman II heads with 68cc combustion chambers and 200cc intake runners. 3/8 pushrods with guideplates. Erson needle bearing roller rockers with polylocks. Crane solid lift camshaft 518, 536 with 252 duration @.050. Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake. Holley 750 double pump with four corner idle and a Proform main body with adjustable air bleeds. Accel billet distributor. Weiand high flow aluminum water pump. The fuel system: Competition Engineering rear sump welded to bottom of tank. Mallory Pro-Comp 140 fuel pump. Mallory high flow fuel filter. Mallory fuel pressure regulator with return line to tank. The transmission: Turbo Hydromatic 350. B&M Shift Kit. B&M 3200 stall converter. The rear axle: GM 10 Bolt with Richmond Powertraxx locker. Richmond 3:73 ring and pinion. Welded axle tubes. Traction Bars (the good kind that replace the lower shock mounts). The exhaust: Headmann full length headers, wrapped with DEI thermal insulation. Jegs 3" exhaust with crossover pipe, 3" over the axle and out the back. 3" Flowmaster mufflers. This is one of the nicer examples you will find of a late second gen Camaro. It's a good car and I hope it goes to a good home.
