You are bidding on my wife's 2001 BMW 330i. This is a no reserve auction. This BMW has a clear title and has been her daily driver for a number of years. She is the second owner, having bought it from a previous owner in Texas. As far as we know, the car has never been around road salt and we don't see any rust on the body or the frame. She recently purchased a new car and we no longer need this car, nor do we have space to keep it. This BMW comes with nearly all of the bells and whistles that were available on a 2001 BMW. It has power steering, power windows, power seats (there are three presets on the driver's side seat), steering wheel controls for the radio and cruise control, and many other features. It has interval wipers, a moonroof/sunroof that vents open or opens fully, at your option. It even has a vent feature to help let out heat when the car is parked in the sun. Until last month, the car was kept in the garage at night and on the weekends. The car has always been filled with full synthetic oil and premium fuel (91 octane or above--my wife is very particular about this), and had regular oil changes. The car has a matched set of low profile BF Goodrich G-Force Super Sport tires. They are all in good shape. We have the BMW Owner's Manual and other original books that came with the car, a full spare. We also have factory two original electronic remote keys, and a valet key. The remote keys have been programmed separately at the dealer, and have different properties: for example, one will lock automatically after you begin driving, and the other will roll down all 4 windows at once in hot weather. You will want to use each key at least a few times each year, as each key is automatically recharged by inserting it into the ignition. This car is not perfect. It has some significant issues. The transmission will not shift into reverse. All forward gears work fine, whether in regular or Steptronic mode. The brakes work well, but the ABS feature does not, and traction control does not work. Our understanding is that the ABS computer is malfunctioning. This computer also controls the cruise control feature, as it will not work until the ABS function is back. However, we have driven this car for more than 2 years without any complications. The car leaks some oil (we've been adding about a quart a month) and coolant (we've been adding about 1/2 gallon every 2 weeks or so). We have not seen any oil in the coolant or vice-versa. We have not noticed any compression loss in the cylinders. The headliner on the pillars is falling off. It doesn't interfere with your vision while driving and looks like a simple fix. None of the overhead liner is coming down. One of the pics shows the condition. The interior is gray leather. The seats have a few less than perfect spots: the passenger seat has a few small discolored areas, and the back seat on the driver's side has some scratches next to the door. The top of the back seat is coming un-stitched at the head-rest level. You can see the condition in the pictures. There are some other minor items you would expect to see in a car of this age. There are a few small rock marks in the paint, a door ding behind the driver's side rear door (see pic), a small rock mark in the windshield (see pic) that has been there for several years, and a chip on the hood (see pic). There is no hail or storm damage. The car has never been in a flood. The BMW emblem on the front hood is faded, but is an easy replacement. The trunk emblem is not faded. Some of the weatherstripping along the bottom of the windshield is cracking. I'm sure there are a few other things that we probably missed, so if you have specific questions, please ask. In January 2008, this car was in a low-speed rear-end impact that should show up on the AutoCheck report. The car suffered under $ 1,000 worth of damage and was repaired at the local BMW dealer's repair shop (Grayson BMW in Knoxville, Tennessee). We have noticed no issues in the 5+ years since that time and we are pleased with the shop's work. The front bumper has some cosmetic damage on the rubber portion of the bumper (just above the front license plate tag) but the car has not been hit in the front end. The air bags have never been deployed. I have a number of other pictures that I would be glad to email to you. Bear in mind that Tennessee car tags (license plates) do not transfer with the car so you'll need to make arrangements with your own state for a temporary tag (if necessary). I will be glad to cooperate with reasonable requests to deliver the car to a shipping company, but if you have any doubts what is reasonable, please ask before assuming that I will drive to some faraway place to meet you. At least one car shipping service has a pick-up in Powell, Tennessee, which is fairly close. I'd be glad to drop the car there with the shipping company for you after you make the arrangements.
