Vehicle Detail

This is a pre war vehicle, Not many still around. some were scraped for the war effort, and many did not make the test of time. This would make a great project or restoration. This was on the road till 2011 when the front frame started rusting and I took it off the road. It could be patched and has easy access with fenders off. If making a custom most would just cut the front frame and put in a mustang II suspension which makes for a easy 350 Chevy fit. The Good. The brake system was overhauled with new lines and wheel cylinders and brake shoes. master was rebuilt. Carb was rebuilt. exhaust was replaced. rear end was pulled and checked, painted and re-installed. It has a heater box from which I understand was an option. It has The original honey comb radiator and was pressure tested OK. Car is mostly complete with small items missing. Hood supports are there which It seems everyone wants them. The hood side panels come out easy for working on car, some leave them out when hot rodding them so you can see the engine. It has sealed beam headlights installed but I do have the original reflectors and lenses if you wish to have to original look. Now the bad Windshield and passenger side windows were broken. This is laminated glass which could be made up by any good glass shop. Body is fairly solid (they don't make them like they used to) but does have some rust holes in the door jambs, floor boards etc. The trunk and floorboards did have fiberglass patches done in the 70s. Its not like there are gapping holes, but just giving a true heads up on the condition. The running boards have some flaking of the rubber so I removed them to prevent the Sun from destroying them. The 6 front stainless pieces are almost always missing but this one has them, one fell off and got bent up and would need to be straightened. One trunk hinge is broken but do pop up on Ebay now and again. The head lamp bucket has a rust hole on the bottom which needs repair. The tires are dry rotted and one does not hold air very long. Battery no longer hold a charge so I cannot start it, however it was running fine and fuel system was drained. The Ugly. As stated before the frame has rust holes and needs attention. The rear valance and pieces to the sides of valance were bondo-ed years ago. I cut out material and started making patch panels but started thinking about removing bumpers and "rolling" the valance pan, so with that you know work needs to be done there. UPDATE: I see there is someone on ebay making patch panels for the valance and rockers as well as other pieces! The interior has seen better days, but at 75 years old its amazing that it lasted! Headliner fell down, front seat ripped, rear not so bad considering but I would guess you would redo everything anyway. Rear side panels missing but arm rests are present, front door panels are shot. Fine print READ! If you are not sure or cannot follow the rules then DONT BID!!!!!!! I do leave negative feedback for non paying bidders. A 15% non refundable deposit due within 48 hours of auction close via paypal or certified check or postal MO (which you would have to overnight or 2nd day to meet 48 hours) The balance is due within 7 days of auction close. The vehicle must be picked up locally. I do not ship! I tried my best to describe vehicle condition to the best of my knowledge. If you have any questions or would like more pictures please ask before you bid. Don't bother asking me for parts because I will not part out the car. With that, I am doing a no reserve auction. What is NOT included is the ULTRA RARE always missing CRANK HOLE COVER. These are like hens teeth and I was recently offered 600 for it. However If the BUY IT NOW price is meet then I will include it as well as many spare parts such as gauges, rubber trim (new) controls, Cowl vent, axels gearbox, clutch disk etc. Again only if buy it now price is met On Nov-05-13 at 15:17:55 PST, seller added the following information: Update, in a backward move ebay removes the buy it now option as soon as someone bids (even though they charge for this option) The buy it now price was 2650. So if the winning bid reaches that amount I will include all the extras. Pictures available.
