Vehicle Detail

Extremely Rare Cheney Triumph Project That Was Never Built. Owning this magnificent project will be a once in a lifetime opportunity! This chassis was one of the last handcrafted kits by Eric's own hands, before his death in 2001. I aquired it shortly after the original owner decided not to build it. I've had it in storage since 2000 and have decided to now part with this beautiful piece of history. A dream to be realized by someone else... It is obviously nickel plated. All included components are supplied originally from Eric Cheney and in pristine, unused condition. The chassis kit includes the frame, swingarm, Marzocchi forks, Cheney handmade billet triple clamps, billet low front fender mount, seat, alloy tank, alloy side panels, alloy airbox, foot pegs, rear brake pedal, front and rear alloy fenders, rear chain guide, adjusters and rear axle.Just add your choice of wheels and rear shocks and the chassis is complete! My choice of wheels was a Maico rear and a Yamaha YZ front. They are NOT included. This chassis has front engine mount plates that were never even drilled for the engine mounting. The only issues of note are: the seat has a small tear in the cover and can be easily repaired or replaced, there is some slight oxidation on the side panels and will clean perfectly with a polishing, as will the slight rust on the frame in one or two places. Considering this has been stored for 13 years, it's in remarkable condition! It was designed for a left-hand shift Triumph T140 750cc engine. I have the complete engine in pieces, ready to assemble including a very trick Norton diaphragm clutch and belt primary drive . Just add the carb and ignition of your choice and you're ready to power up! There are no pics of the engine included in this listing at this time but if there is a SERIOUS inquiry, I will take pics and send them individually. This is a PROJECT, obviously, to be finished by someone with imagination and skill (or money to buy the skill!). It would make for the most unique AHRMA racer in the twins class or even make it into a very unique dual-sport bike and plate it for the street. This project is sold as is, where is, with no warranties of any kind. It's located in Camarillo, CA 93010 and all shipping costs will be borne by the buyer. I'm happy to assist in any way possible to complete the sale and ship it. I am a former National Motocross Race Mechanic from the 70's and can provide any technical and imaginative advice as needed. I also can recomend skilled mechanics that can assist in the completion of necessary.
