· We are selling our 1973 Lotus Europa.. This has been a family project for the past 2 yrs. Car was discovered in a garage where it had sat untouched for 15 yrs. All the work was done to bring it to its former glory & road worthy shape. · All front & rear suspension rebuilt with new bushings, trunnions and new Spax adjustable shocks. · Brakes are all new pads & shoes, new wheel cylinder, rebuilt calibers & master cylinder with new rubber brake lines. · Engine was rebuilt with new bearings, rings, head & block was machined, valve guides machined to accept valve seals. New water pump was install at this time. · New Pertronix electric distributor & coil was added along with electric fuel pump for reliability. · An upgrade exhausts system from RD Enterprises which includes new header pipe & muffler to add power & better sound. · The carburetors were sent out to SV carbs.com for ultrasonic cleaning & rebuild. They make the carburetors as close to new as possible. Car idles smooth and has great power & delivers it smoothly. I also added an air filter system for cleaner air to the engine. · Transmission was checked & resealed by Eagle Transmission. It shifts well once you learn the gears. Shifting is a bit vague in the Europa models. · Cooling system has no leaks and has all new hoses. The heater has been by passed by previous owner. I don’t know why. · The car has been repainted in the past. There are a few small chips but overall has a good appearance. · Interior is in great shape for it age. It’s all original & has 1 rip in the driver’s seat. · The car runs & drives well. It has a current State Inspection from the State of Texas. Its street legal. · This car is unique & gets lots of attention driving down the road. · Will be happy to answer any questions about the car & the work that has been done. It is the twincam Europa. I do have one side view mirror for this car but haven't mounted it yet. It is not the original. The car was originally blue & had been repainted black. I would also like to mention that the odometer reads 17069. I am assuming that it already turned the 100K mark before I purchased it, however I'm not sure.
