Vehicle Detail

For sale is this beautiful 1968 Big Block Camaro with 79,800 original miles. It is a rust free California body with all original sheet metal including rust free floor pans and trunk pan. It has a near perfect original deluxe interior with a 4 speed console and all working gauges. This car has been completely gone through mechanically from front to back. I have over one hundred and fifty reciept that total approximately $28,000 for all and any work done and parts purchased to date. It was originally a small block car but anyone who knows a half ass Big Block conversion from a proper and complete Big Block conversion will know this has been done right. Starting from the back forward it has a factory original stock 1968 373 12 bolt posi rear end with new multi leaf springs, shocks, brakes, neoprene bushings, u joints and a vintage Baldwin Motion differential cover. It has a Hotchkiss sport suspension frame connector kit and complete new neoprene body bushings. It has a Muncie M22 four speed with a Hurst competition plus shifter behind a 700 hp rated SPEC clutch and pressure plate assembly. It has a new flywheel, throw out bearing, scattershield bellhousing and a big block crossmember with a new tranny mount. It has a complete 3" aluminized exhaust all the way back connected to a pair of Hooker 2 1/8" tube ceramic coated headers. It has a fresh balanced 630 hp 496 (recipe, never dyno'd) I have all of the engine specs and internal information available upon request.(quality internals and machine work). Externally it has a new mini starter, aluminum water pump, chrome high output mechanical fuel pump, new 7180 Holly carb, aluminum Merlin intake, Pro Comp aluminum 320cc heads (ported) aluminum billet march pulleys w/serpentine belt, chrome alternator, HEI ignition, neoprene motor mounts w 1968 big block towers. Big block power steering pump also. Lots of additional chrome and aluminum accessories. It has a quality hp rated B-COOL thermostatically controlled cooling system w/aluminum radiator and dual puller fans. The sub frame was removed blasted, primed, and painted with all new steering components (tie rod ends, ball joints, big block springs, shocks, wheel bearings, control arm bushings, complete new disc brake conversion with proportioning valve). New fuel line front to rear, all new hoses, big block heater box and core. New battery and cables, AM FM cassette (factory fit) no cutting or modifications to dash, new rear speakers factory mounting and fit new package tray. This car looks, sounds, and drives awesome. Fast, dependable, and can be driven anywhere. Everything listed was purchased NOS when available or new OEM at time of assembly except for rear end and trans. All parts are quality parts and properly assembled. Royal Purple fluids throughout. It currently has centerline rims with new BFG tires but I also have original Rally rims with custom ordered 10" rear rally's new BFG's on all. I will sell it with buyers choice of rims (one set). I have only listed the large major components. Many many smaller cosmetic items, clips rubbers, lenses, bulbs, bolts, etc. have been replaced (too many to list) This car has never been to the drag strip or street raced. I have the original owners manual and I have the black plates that came on this car from California. I have owned this car for 5 years and put less than 2500 miles on it. The body is straight and clean. The paint has a few chips. I am guessing the paint job to be 10+ years old. Chrome bumpers are in excellent shape, door handles have some pitting. All glass is original and great condition. Additional photos of any area of the car can be provided. Underneath is original, beautiful, and rust free. No issues. This is not an original 1968 Z28, It was wearing the badges when I got it. I have about 40 additional underneath/bottom photos that I can send to interested buyers.
