Up for auction is a Great Project Truck!!! It's a 1964 Ford F100 Shortbed. This truck was bought new in Vegas in 1964, and still has the "Friendly Ford" stamped steel rear bumper on the truck. The truck originally came with a 292, and a manual trans..... but, now it has a Big Block 429, and a C6 automatic installed into the truck. The truck runs and drives, and is almost Rust Free!! The body has some dents but NO RUST on the body. The bed has NO Rust, and the floors are in good shape. The truck starts up and idles perfect, she has a lifter tick, but no knocking and no visible leaks. The truck has been driven around the block and a few short trips but, she should be trailered home to be safe. I have a Clear Title for the truck. This truck will be sold to the highest bidder, NO RESERVE!!! Engine/ Trans: The engine is a 429 that runs great, she idles perfect and has some power! I have no idea as to the true mileage on the motor, as it was transplanted about 10 years ago. The truck has a custom made engine cross-member that has the correct mounts for the 429 to mount too. The carb was just rebuilt, the tank was flushed, along with the fuel lines too. The engine runs nice and cool. The trans is a smooth shifting C6 that works just fine! The interior is clean overall, and the only rust I was able to find was a small hole in the passenger side floor. The floors are in good shape overall, and the body mounts are in great shape with no rust issues at all. The door open and close just fine, the windows roll up and down just fine. The drivers window needs to be replaced, and the windshield is cracked as you can see in the pictures. The gas gauge works, as does the oil pressure gauge. The speedo is not hooked up, as it needs a cable. It needs a headlight switch, and the horn doesn't work. The exterior overall is very straight with NO RUST issues. The hood hinges are sprung like normal, and the truck has it's normal dents here and there from being used like a truck the last 50 years. You will be hard pressed to find a truck as rust free as this one, and for the price I am asking. Just remember this is a Project Truck that will need work!!
