Up for bid today is a rare 1971 Ford Ranchero Squire that we are selling for a friend. They only made 2,565 of these cars. This car was found in Eastern Washington State and had been sitting since 1999, it is a very solid car, no rust to speak of - just some minor surface rust inside the bed. Body is fairly straight with some minor dents and dings, hood is dented but car comes with another straight hood. Most of the paint is original but has been touched up here and there. The owner repainted the woodgrain by hand as it was completely faded, and it actually turned out pretty cool. Car has 15 inch Boyd wheels but he does have the original 14" wheels for the car. The car also features hideaway headlights that aren't working but all mechanisms are there. The motor is a 351 Cleveland 2V, C4 Automatic transmission - The car has A/C, Power disc brakes, Power steering. The owner has put in New: Battery, Battery cables, Selenoid, points, fuel pump, ignition switch, front shocks, Rear brakes, Master Cylinder, tranny filter and restored the fuel tank. The car runs good and drives well, but will still need some other things such as a muffler, dash cover as it is pretty cracked and sunbaked, etc, to make it a nice driver, or do a full restoration if your looking for a fairly rare project car. Car will be sold as is with BILL OF SALE ONLY as there is no title for the car, the previous owner bought the car from a wrecking yard with intentions of using the motor but never got around to it, thats why there is no title. Check with your State as far as licensing the car goes - Here in Washington you can do a 3 year registration only waiting period and then you get a title after three years for cars with no titles - not sure what the process is in other States but check it out.
