Vehicle Detail

1974 AMC Hornet X package I encourage you to come see the car in person BEFORE making an offer lower than the buy it now price. 631.629.55 62 Was mostly garaged and from Arizona so the body is in very good shape considering the year. Was a father & son project until I picked it up from them - I believe I'm the 3rd or 4th owner. Car has front disk brakes, power steering, and has A/C but it's disconnected (have all the parts to put back on). Sounds great, pulls good, and drives very smoothly. Car is on the road and driven all over during the weekends - gets a lot of attention and pretty decent gas mileage (12-15MPG) Drivetrain: Original engine was removed due to valve retainer failure. Replacement 304 engine was taken out of my mother's original 72 Gremlin X with 60k on it. While the engine was out it was disassembled and inspected by Merkel Racing in Suffolk County. Engine was freshened with all new gaskets and seals, then upgraded with Carter AFB Competition 390cfm 4-barrel carb manual choke, Edelbrock performer intake, ported exhaust manifold, HEI ignition conversion with paired drive gears, and racing wires. Professionally rebuilt torqueflite 3-spd transmission was put in by previous owner and functions flawlessly. Fram upgraded transmission cooler was installed at the same time as new radiator. Exhaust: Original exhaust manifolds were ported/polished and then high-temp painted. New 2.0" piping bent, Magnaflow straight through mufflers installed (18124), and 3" chrome tips at the back. Cooling: New radiator, new water pump and hoses, new thermostat. Interior: New high-quality seat covers front and rear, as well as a new carpet. The dash is in very good shape with only one small crack. Both instrument gauges work. The trunk area is in excellent shape with no rust and the original spare tire cover. The hatch has new lift shocks and functions perfectly. Windshield wipers work, but has dying switch (a replacement is included), otherwise everything functions as it should. Stereo was fitted in dash and aftermarket speakers were installed in doors and rear which sound great. Exterior: Painted by the previous owner a year ago and is in 8.5/10 shape. Windshield was just replaced by insurance due to a crack that formed. Bumpers are in excellent shape with almost no rust spots, all the lights are also in great shape. The grille was previously repaired and is missing one small section. The hood had a stick-on hood scoop in the center which caused slight damage to the paint upon removal, and the hood hinges can use a re-adjustment. There is a crease in the driver side quarter panel front a low-speed parking lot mishap. Rust starting to form a little in the quarter panel areas. No rot/rust in the floor boards or trunk, some rust on the rails. Please feel free to contact me to see the car BEFORE BIDDING. If you have any questions at all also don't hesitate to e-mail me and I'll respond as soon as I can. $200 due at end of auction and balance due within 3-days. On Sep-24-13 at 10:01:20 PDT, seller added the following information:Due to excessive low-balling, decreased price to lowest I'm willing to accept.
