Vehicle Detail
Stunning 1990 Porsche 911 With 67,431 Original Miles!964 Model - The last of the hand built, air-cooled engine 911s!A VERY RARE low mileage example. These are extremely hard to find! Up for sale is my 1990 Porsche C2 (964). This is as close to showroom condition as it gets... As the pictures will show. This is a prior California car and is 100% rust free! These are incredibly hard to find in this condition, turn-key and ready for you! A few of the particulars when I purchased it at 53k miles... RUNNING GEAR - Andial & Walters Mercedes prepped engine at 50k miles; - Heads machined for cylinder upgrade - New valves, valve guides, valve springs, rings & intake manifold - Sport B&B muffler - Bilstein sport shocks with H&R springs... Andial installed, aligned and corner balanced - Shock tower brace - New brakes at 50k miles - Front has Big Reds and cross drilled rotors and the rear has RS calipers and cross drilled rotors - New Club Sport lightweight flywheel and clutch, pilot bearing and throwout bearing INTERIOR - New camel leather throughout by Auto International, San Diego - Interior was Dynamatted prior to Interior installation - New radio - Blaupunkt Toronto & 10 disk CD changer EXTERIOR - Wheels - 17" club sport factory wheels - Porsche Turbo Tail - Flag mirrors replaced with teardrop style So... That was the way it came to me back in June of 2002. This is what I have added... - Cylinder Head Temp Gauge (In place of the manual decklid switch) Looks factory and is a VDO gauge. - Custom chip by Jason Andreas from Rennlist.com to solve the idle issue caused by the lightweight flywheel (Thanks Jason!) - Stainless Steel cat bypass installed but original cat comes with it - K&N air filter installed but complete OEM airbox is also included - Front Bow Plane splitter (Rennspeed) They even use my car in their advertising on their website and on eBay! - Stock front yellow corner lenses replaced with clear - Chrome Halon Fire Extinguisher and mount, driver side front - Stainless steel door sills with Porsche logos - Customized interior door handles with logo - Chrome gauge bezel rings - Changed Receiver/Dryer in AC System (Still R12 System - You will want to switch to R134) - Red Optima Battery - Battery tender specifically designed for Gel Cell Optima Batteries - Extra set of coils - Complete factory shop manuals (These are as rare as hen's teeth and EXPENSIVE!) - Code reader/reset - Enthusiast Companion book - Porsche Spec book - Custom Mats (Originals are included) - 1 Outdoor Custom Car Cover - 1 Indoor Custom Car Cover When I bought it she had 53k miles and in 11+ years I have put 14k miles on it. I have most all the receipts from the PO totaling $20K+ in the 5+ years that he owned it. He spent A LOT of money on the engine and interior. (The stock interior was black, he switched it to camel leather.) This was a California car and has zero rust. Basically all I have had to do is to change the oil. Ratings Engine - 10 - I really don't think that you will find a better running engine than this one. Engine was basically rebuilt 17k miles ago. This engine is set to go for 200k+ miles now! There is only one small oil leak that drops (not kidding) only one drop on my garage floor every time I drive it. That's it. Exterior - 9.5 - Prior owner had driver side rear quarter painted as it was keyed. He also had the hood resprayed because of stone chips. Obviously the rear tail and front splitter have been sprayed. All paint matches perfectly and was done professionally. Exterior does have a few small stone chips and the bottom leading edge of the front splitter has stone chips. But overall... The paint shines like a mirror! Interior - 9.8 - The ONLY thing that takes away from this interior being 100% is a little slight wear on the driver's side seat bolster. This is easily dyed and fixed. I have a bunch of original and other new floormats. I had the custom ones made when I first got the car. There is also a rear shelf mat as I keep the rear seats folded down all the time. The 10 disk Blaupunkt CD changer is mounted in the passenger side rear seat. This is obviously not a stock vehicle. But for those looking to make these upgrades you can save a ton by buying this with everything already done for you. I know that this isn't everyone's cup of tea but it will make someone a VERY, VERY happy camper! I DO NOT have the original deck lid. ********************************** Now... What it needs... A windshield. I was on the Washington DC Beltway when a large rock hit the windshield creating a big star crack. I doubt it can be repaired, it will need a new windshield. No big deal but it will need to be fixed. The tear drop mirrors need to be hooked up. This is an easy job and I have the diagrams to do it. Since I am the only one to drive the car, I have never felt the need to hook them up. They stay right where I want them. The AC Needs a recharge. For years I did this myself and never converted to R134 as I had a case of R12 still left. I have 1 can left and it is not enough to recharge the system. A recharge should last 2 years with the present system. Switching to R134 should make you bulletproof in this area.It should also probably have a valve adjustment done in the next 7k-10k miles as well. You have plenty of time for that. Basically you can hop in this car and drive it anywhere you want. It has never left me stranded and it won't start with you. If you plan on driving it home... Be advised it comes with a lot of stuff you will probably want to ship. If you plan on shipping by covered carrier... Most everything can fit inside the car without a driver. ********************************** This has only seen one light rain sprinkle while I have owned it. The tail of a pop-up thunderstorm while on the beltway. Other than that, it has never been driven in the rain or (God forbid) the snow! It stays in my garage from the first snow until the spring rains come and wash off all the salt from the roads. (Yes... I have been extremely anal about this car.) TERMS: Sale price of $34,900 or best offer DEPOSIT: Upon your winning bid you must send $500 deposit via PayPal within 24 hours of auction end. FINAL PAYMENT: Due in cash or certified funds at the time you pick the car up or have it shipped. Cash payment gets you signed, clear title immediately. Certified Funds require to be cleared prior to title transfer. A Bill of Sale will be drawn up reflecting this. Please see the beautiful pictures below and enjoy! Please allow time to load. It just got a bath! A few final words... Please be serious about this. I have had A LOT of tire kickers that want to waste my time by asking all sorts of questions and then they notice the car is RED! Yes... It's a Red 911! Know this BEFORE you ask questions!Also... You really need to want this car the way it is. I have had several potential buyers want to beat me up on price because they want to spend $5k to turn it into something else. My thoughts? If you don't absolutely love this car the way it is... You should probably find another 911.This is not a fire sale! I do not need to sell this car... I choose to! I have driven Porsche 911s for the past 20 years and would like to explore other makes and models. If I do not sell this car before the onset of winter... I will keep it until next spring and then offer it again... Unless I change my mind and decide to keep it.This is one of the most stunning examples of a 911(964) that is offered for sale today. It is sure to appreciate in value.I have been on eBay since its beginning and have flawless feedback. I received this feedback by selling superior products, providing excellent service and basically... Telling it like it is. I take great pride in this. It does no one any good if I am less than truthful about something and you discover it now or later down the road. Honesty is the best policy! If you have questions, please let me know. I will gladly swap phone numbers with you to discuss any questions you may have.
