This is a beautiful '57 Chevy. You could never do a frame-off restoration with new drivetrain yourself for this price. This is an opportunity to own a freshly restored '57 Chevy that should be a joy to own for years to come. This is a tremendous car that has had an incredible amount of new parts and labor put into it. Bid with confidence! This '57 Chevy has undergone a frame-off restoration over the last few years. I purchased the car from an elderly gentleman in Dallas, Texas, who was unable to finish the restoration. It is mostly finished now. (I just drove it in a parade--it's very close to done) Only 81 test miles since reassembly. New interior & new 350 drivetrain and many new parts throughout. Needs heater/ventilation system hooked up, radio / sound system, door flippers adjusted, and some minor window adjustments. I would drive it anywhere. This is an original Matador Red '57 Chevy, although the top would have originally been Ivory. It has a brand new 350 V-8 from Summit Racing with an Edelbrock intake and 4 barrel carburetor. It has a Mallory electronic ignition and Auto Meter tach, oil pressure, temp, and voltage gauge package. It has a brand new 350 crate transmission. It has headers and true dual exhausts with glasspack mufflers and chrome exhaust tips. The front end is all new with fresh bushings and a complete rebuild. It has new glass all around, with new door seals, new deck lid seals, and new hood heals. It has a rebuilt steering column with all new bushings. A new wiring harness was installed, new gas tank, and new fuel lines. It has a 1968 GTO limited slip rear end. It has new brakes and shocks all around. The dash was rebuilt with the odometer recalibrated to zero at the time of reassembly. It has 81 test miles since resto, although this number might be slightly higher at time of pick up. The heater system was rebuilt, although the wiring and linkages for this need to be hooked up. New glove box with light. New electric windshield wiper motor. The body was stripped completely down to bare metal. Has original floor panels with 3 small metal patches welded in. (one was for a floor shifter from years ago) It has all original outside metal except for the left hand lower quarter in front of tire was replaced, along with spare tire holder and rear trunk section, which had fresh metal welded in. (spare tire retainer included but needs to be installed) All body lines line up great. This '57 has 4 brand new Coker Classic radial wide whitewall tires. It has original '57 Chevy hubcaps with new Danchuck spinners added on. It has a new original style interior from Cars, Inc., featuring fresh carpet, reupholstered seats, new door panels, new foot pedals, new side kick panels, and new headliner and visors. It has brand new triple chrome plated front and rear bumpers. New side mirror. New dimmer switch. Redone original steering wheel and horn ring--horn was working but must need readjusting. An original AM radio is present, but I do not know if it is functional. New Danchuck window cranks and door handles. Have tons of paper work dating back several years, and clear title. This vehicle is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end this auction at any time.
