1959 FORD FAIRLANE 500 GALAXIE SUNLINER CONVERTIBLE 1959 was one of the more notable years for styling with American automotive manufacturers. The 1959 Ford Fairlanes are thought to be some of the most beautiful Ford cars ever designed. New mid-year 1959 the Ford Fairlane 500 Sunliner convertible was officially introduced as part of the Galaxie series, even though it still wore Fairlane 500 script badging. The Galaxie range of six models were simply upscale versions of Ford’s long-running Ford Fairlane with a revised rear roofline that mimicked the concurrent Thunderbird. In keeping with the era, the 1959 Galaxie was a chrome and stainless steel-bedecked, two-tone colored vehicle. It was the very image of late-1950s American automobile excess, though somewhat tamer than its counterparts. This black and red beauty comes equipped with very desirable options such as a 352 V-8 4 Barrel, with a 3-Speed Automatic Transmission, Power Top and Power Steering.
