OVERVIEW
Trucks are one of my favorites. Those of you who have me added as a favorite seller know that I search the country for the coolest, nicest pickups to drive, enjoy, and offer for sale.
This 1956 F-100 was purchased from a collection with other trucks, a killer Ford Convertible, a Cessna airplane, a forklift, and more.
It is a fresh build with only about 800 miles on it, and it is a great looking and driving truck with a MONSTER 460ci motor that will smoke the tires for days!

DESCRIPTION
Teal green metallic paint looks so wet and slick, you’ll swear it isn’t dry yet the first time you see this truck in person.
Sprayed over a super straight, solid, and rust-free all steel body, the finish glistens in the sunlight, and practically glows under streetlights at night.
The truck was finished a few years ago, and driven a little over 800 miles since completion, so it has only a few minor marks from normal use like stone chips, scuffs, etc..
The truck is clean enough right now that you could enter a local or regional show with pride, and is a detail and full clean away from a National show contender.
Subtle, hand-painted pinstripes cleanly accentuate the body cut line and fender openings.
Ford F100 emblems are original to the truck, and add that perfect vintage patina to the finish.
Front and rear chrome low profile bumpers look great, and were brand new during the build. The front bumper has a tiny up turn from a foolishly placed bumper jack, but it is not really too noticeable.
Chrome and bright work on the truck is in great shape, and everything from the grill to the tail gate latches shines bright and clean.
The vintage style FORD tail lamps look great, and are in fantastic condition.
Running board step plates are in great shape and hold the FORD logo as well.
Glass on the truck is clean and solid, and shows no chips or cracks.
The windows roll up and down easily thanks to clean and neat fuzzies, and the weather stripping and seals all show to be in very good condition, with no dry rot or flaking.
The tonneau cover is in very good condition, and all of the snaps work as they should. It has no tears, rips, or seam pulls, and seals easily.
The bed wood is in great condition, and has no damage evident. It is treated and waterproofed, and affixed with all chrome plated hardware and strapping.
Tail gate is fully functional, and the two chain/clasp units work as they should.
A polished and louvered panel below the gate looks great and cleans up the tail end of the truck too.
The truck rolls around on PACER 5-hole polished aluminum wheels which show very wheel, and will no doubt detail up even nicer with some elbow grease and your favorite aluminum polish.
They are wrapped in Raised White Letter GOODYEAR EAGLE GT II tires size P235/60R15 all the way around that have less than 900 miles on them according to the prior owner.
The hood cowl vent is fully functional, and opens and seals closed with ease from inside the cabin.
The interior of the truck is super clean, and finished throughout in luxurious black material.
The bench seat is in great condition, fits three people comfortably on cruise night, and has seat belts for two of them.
Carpeting is thick, automotive grade custom-cut for the truck with finished edging. It was installed over a layer of heat and sound proofing material.
The kick panels, rear panels, surrounds, and more are all covered and look great. The headliner shows like new, as do the two visors.
Chrome sill plates look fantastic, and match the chrome rear view mirror and LOKAR polished gas and brake pedals and LOKAR shifter in the custom center block, which also houses the tachometer.
The rest of the DOLPHIN gauges are in the painted dash, and look and function like new.
The factory choke pull works on the truck, as do all of the switches for lights and wipers.
An IDIDIT tilt column is chrome finished and topped with a GRANT chrome 3-spoke steering wheel.
Glovebox is finished and clean, and the truck was completely rewired with a modern style fuse block and all new wiring throughout the truck.
Even the original ashtray still works, although the prior owners didn’t smoke and the truck has NO odor of any kind since the restoration.
Overall, the interior of the truck is a perfect place to command this machine from, and is really like new throughout.
Power comes from a MONSTER 460 cubic inch BIG BLOCK FORD motor that is reportedly from a 1974 Police Interceptor.
The block was completely stripped and rebuilt with all new internals from the SVO catalog, and then treated to an MSD ignition system, Edelbrock Carb, and Holley intake, along with custom headers and exhaust, and a beefed up cooling system to keep it running cool on those long cruises.
The motor was mated to a rebuilt FORD C6 transmission with highway friendly gearing that lets you roll all day at 75mph and STILL burn rubber with a mat of the go pedal whenever you want! That’s the beauty of that 460!
The chassis of the truck is clean and neat, but not detailed out for show mirrors. If you put it on a lift and wiped it down, it would look even nicer.
Power steering is super light, and makes the truck easy for anyone to drive, while the power brakes with disc front and drum rear scrub off speed without any odd fade, modulation, or pulling.
The truck sounds fantastic thanks to a custom made exhaust system, and it really lets you know a Big Block is coming down the road.
It starts, runs, drives, steers, handles, and performs wonderfully, and does not have any odd quirks or issues.
I have personally driven the truck about 65 miles, and find it to be a BLAST. The power from that 460 will have you laying more rubber than you ever have before because it just BEGS for it!
On the highway, one finger is all you need to navigate it down the road at freeway flyer speeds, and it is comfortable enough to take on a long trip.
The truck also comes to you with almost everything you need to install a VINTAGE AIR Air/heat system in the truck. I have attached photos of the parts included, and it looks like a compressor and dryer and a bracket are about all that’s left to acquire before you can complete the install. The kit looks like it costs about $1500.00 with shipping from the Vintage Air website, and the previous owner was getting ready to install it when he became ill, so it has sat in the boxes, unopened until we took the photos of it below.
It fits everyone from our office manager who is 5'3" and 100 pounds all the way to my friend Jeff at 6’3” and 270 pounds, so chances are it will fit YOU just fine! No chopped top to deal with, and plenty of room between the tilt steering wheel and seat back if you enjoy a beer or five and have larger dimensions.
It comes with a key, and a clean, clear, and valid Title as a 1956 Ford.
