SWIVEL BUCKETS!!! This auction is for my 1976 Chevy Laguna S-3. This S3 is a variation of the Chevelle or Malibu body style of that year. I bought it recently with plans for it to become a daily driver but unfortunately my plans had to change. As the saying goes- my loss is your gain! It is a running project car. It would not take much to make this into a daily driver. It has a running 305 and a 350 automatic transmission. I HAVE THE BUILD SHEET TO THE CAR!!!! The engine and transmission both have leaks; my plans were to pull both, clean everything up and reinstall. Probably currently needs a tune-up and the previous owner stated that the carb needs rebuild. I agree with the previous owner- it hesitates/sputters when you step on the gas.Odometer shows 75,536 but not sure of actual mileage. The car is basically all original in need of cosmetic restoration. This car looks 100% original to me, but I make no guarantees. This is a California car, meaning ALL SHEET METAL IS SOLID WITH NO RUST. Floors and trunk are RUST FREE and solid. The driver’s side rear quarter has a dent as shown in the pictures. I think a good body man can fix the dent without replacement. I thought about pushing it out myself, but figured that i'd leave it to the pro's, lol. I have a replacement quarter panel extension which comes with the car. It originally came with a white vinyl top, which was previously removed by the past owner. There is ZERO rust on the roof. As you can see, it is originally burgundy (I think better known as MAHOGANY) with a burgundy interior, and white stripes with white vinyl top. THIS CAR NEEDS A PAINT JOB. Paint is faded and tired but looks presentable. In the first picture, the car is wet. I just waxed the car before I took pictures, but make no mistake, the car needs paint!The interior is also burgundy and needs restoration. The dash is cracked, front seats need recovered and the carpet needs replacement. The door panels are nice, however the drivers side has a very slight tear. The rear panels are very nice and the rear seat is in great condition. The rear package tray needs replacement. The headliner appears to be saveable, since it is in very nice condition, but at the rear window there is some curling (see photos). The sunvisors need replacement. This is a floor shift, console car, with swivel buckets from the factory. It has a round gage dash with idiot lights. This ’76 is also a factory air conditioning car, and all the components are there. I have not even tried to see if it blows cold, but it's all there.Car also has POWER WINDOWS that both work nicely! Tilt steering!!! Also came with cruise control, but is not currently functioning.ALL LIGHTS AND TURN SIGNALS WORK AS THEY SHOULD. Even the key buzzer works!!!! Slope nose front end has some pitting as seen in the pictures. Needs tires. I have a CLEAR California title in a previous owner’s name (see pictures). I never got around to transferring it into my name. But I have all the required documents to transfer from the previous owner to the new owner. It has both blue 70’s style license plates. The car was registered as recently as 2012!! The car deserves a restoration and it’s absolutely worth the effort. This would be an awesome car restored as these are very underrated and COOL cars!!I also have some nice parts available for the winning bidder if interested, including a nice burgundy steering wheel, nice red bucket seats (non swivel from a Camaro of same era), an extra set of black swivel buckets, nice sunvisors, dual hump crossmember, even a nice dash pad (but this will be expensive!!!). These are available for an agreed upon cost; this can be discussed after the end of the auction.
