On Jul-30-13 at 07:43:55 PDT, seller added the following information: Here are some answers to some great questions I have received. Any Rust or blisters? How is the body? No. The car has had a life a as play toy. The original owner lived in Georgia and many years ago turned it into a Pro Street type car. I have no idea how many miles were on the car when it stopped being a daily driver, but the car is solid with no rust. The previous owner told me the car never saw rain for 27 years. I have owned the car about 5 years and have not found any rust of blisters anywhere. For the years I have owned the car it has been a show car. Garage kept and only driven to shown and cruises or for a fun ride on a nice day. The car has one solid body from the south. It was NOT a rusted out daily driver turned into a Pro Street. The video you see in the ad was taken two days before listing the car. Why am I selling it? I guess the correct answer is old age. I am going to be 62 and my wife says it time to move on to something with power steering and air. I plan to retire soon and will replace it with something that can be driven on the Hot Rod Power tour. I have been a drag racer from the time I was 16. My racing and car hobby was put on hold when I raised 3 kids. When they were out of the house I said I was going to drive something with big horse power. This was the biggest I could get and street drive. There is nothing better than being one of the top dog when you are driving to a show. But it is time to move on. Any issues with overheating? No. I have driven this car in cruises like the Woodward Dream Cruise (one of the photos is of it parked at Woodward Dream Cruise last year August) and in daily traffic for a few years and it has only run as hot as 205 degrees one time. Other than that it stays below 200. Here is how I was able to keep a motor like this cool on the street. First I moved the oil filter away from the headers to stop them from heating the oil. You can see the filter mounted in the driver’s wheel well. Not only is it getting outside air as you drive, it makes it a lot easier to change. After the oil leaves the filter it travels to an oil cooler under the drivers front fender which has its own fan. So we are cooling the oil before it gets back to the motor. We have two transmission coolers. One mounted on the frame and one in the grill. The goal is to remove as much heat from the oil and transmission fluid as you can to reduce the amount of heat the radiator has to dissipate. The engine cooling system is massive. First it has a triple pass radiator. So the 31 inch radiator become 93 inches as the water passed 3 times through the radiator prior to going back to the engine. On the engine side of the radiator is a Lincoln Mark III fan. Ford designed this fan for the Mark III as it had a very small grill area. I have been told the fan is the biggest you can get and can push up to 4600 CFMs of air. I will say when it is on and you are working on the motor it will blow you your hair back. Fitting this massive fan between the radiator and the blower belt took a lot of time. In front of the radiator are two 12 inch pusher fans just in case. All of the fans are set up with proper relays and controlled by the switches on dash, so you are in total control of how much cooling is on. On cool days I have run with no fans or only one set and stayed at 175 to 180. On 90 degree days I run them all and when moving run 180 to 185. When sitting in traffic it will run in the 190 to 195 range until you start moving again. Overall great cooling for a motor producing this much heat. What wheels are those? The wheel were made by Greg Weld. I was told he was the an owner of Weld Racing Wheels and either left or sold the company and started Greg Weld Wheels. I loved the design as they gave it a modern look but came in sizes most 5 spoke wheels will not like 15 X 15.
