On January 18, 1967, E.R. Knight walked into Paul Motor Company in Charleston, South Carolina, in search of a new Country Squire Wagon. After looking at what the dealer had in stock, he knew the only way to get what he wanted was to order a brand new one. He didn't want your everyday housewife grocery getter, he wanted a wagon with some balls! He filled out the order form and only had to wait 13 days before his new wagon arrived. When it rolled of the transport, it was just what he expected. Here is how it was equipped. 10 Passenger Country Squire Wagon 428 Engine Wimbledon White Blue vinyl interior 2.80 gear ratio C-6 Select Shift Cruise-O-Matic Luggage Rack AM Radio Tinted Glass Air Shocks Manual right hand mirror Mr. Knight took delivery on January 31, 1967 and kept the car until his death. The car was always garaged and only logged 61,000 miles on the wagon the whole time he owned it. The car has never been painted and the original interior is near mint. It now has 65,000 miles and I have owned the car since 2010 when I bought it from Mr. Knights son. This wagon is in amazing original condition. It has to be one of the nicest original 67 wagons around. Especially being a factory 428 with basically one owner. It has never had any rust, and get this, the factory original dated spark plug wires are still on the car and the engine still runs like a watch! I have pictures of the car with the family when it was new, and lots of original paperwork including the original bill of sale and finance contract. I also have a deluxe Marti report. I have enjoyed this wagon for three years. We have taken it on trips, sunday drives and countless baseball games. Its time for someone else to be the caretaker of this fantastic wagon.
