Vehicle Detail
Virtually mint condition!I purchased this bike, brand new, from a BMW dealer in Daytona Beach, back in May 2005. I lived in Windsor, Ontario at the time and had it shipped (by truck) up to Detroit. I went through all the proper hoops to officially import it to Canada and register it in Ontario. I still have all of the original keys, manuals, etc. Americans - please note that this bike is fully compliant with both US & Canadian regulations (because it was purchased in the US and legally imported to Canada). I have the paperwork from 2005 to prove it.I'm selling it because the woman I met a couple of months after I purchased the bike (i.e. my wife) has just never warmed up to it, and because I travel extensively during the year anyway. That's why I've only managed to put 6000 miles on it over seven right seasons! All of the parts on the bike are original. It also comes with an extra, more aerodynamic wind screen (which I purchased laws tinter but never got around to installing on it).In addition, it comes with an OEM BMW battery tender. The batter tender is important if you have "winter" where you live and need to store the bike for weeks or months without using it. Otherwise, the battery doesn't do so well. It's a BMW trait (which is probably why they sell their own BMW-branded battery tender). Here are the technical details:Water cooled, 1157cc, Inline-4, DOHCPower: 130.52 HP (96 kW) @ 8750 rpmTorque: 117 Nm (11.93 kg-m) @ 6750 rpmFinal drive: ShaftTop speed: 241 km/hCurb weight: 300 kgThese technical details apply to the 2003 to 2006 model years. Hence, if you're looking at a 2006 model with five times as many miles, you're better off buying my bike instead. I'm prepared to work with you re: pick-up or delivery. It's your responsibility to pay for it, but I'll be sure not to reap any mark-up if we have to ship it. If it has to ship, it will ship at cost plus shipping insurance.
