Please note. I require a $500 deposit via paypal immediately upon end of auction. Please do not bid if you do not agree to this. My friends father is a physician. He purchased this car as a certified used vehicle from a Honda dealership with 15,000miles on it. He maintained it meticulously. At 160,000miles the transmission and engine were replaced. He was driving up a rocky road and hit the undercarriage. The oil pan was damaged and the engine was starved of oil. A new engine was installed that had only 47,000miles on it. The transmission that was installed had only 30,000mile on it. Current mileage on chassis/body is 250,000. Miles on engine and drivetrain is approximately 130,000miles. Oil has been changed religiously. Not too long ago the physician gave the car to his son who did not drive it very much, but also did not take very good care of it. The inside of the car needs to be cleaned well. It is not wrecked, but definitely needs a good detailing. The son stopped driving the car because it failed inspection for a loose ball joint. There is also a check engine light on which pulls a code for an evap valve. These are both relatively straight forward fixes. The tires on the car will need to be replaced. The rear brakes need to be freshened up, also the two front windows do not go up or down. They will need to be repaired. Unfortunately this one of the few common problems with these cars. Lastly, the radio works, but the LCD is very dim. This is an issue Honda is aware of and offered assistance to vehicles still under warranty. You could have it fixed. I do not know exactly what that entails. This car was involved in a minor fender bender that damaged the front bumper skin. It was replaced with an OEM one, but was not painted. There is a spot on the hood where the paint was damaged and it has started to rust. This can easily be touched up. The rest of the car is is solid. I have a stack of maintenance records and receipts for the car. I only have one key for this car. I believe to get a second you have to go to a dealer. I bought this car from my friend, who is the son of the physician. I was going to clean it up and give it to my girlfriend, but she has a dog and travels a lot so were going to try to find her a station wagon instead. I take eBay very seriously. Please ask questions if you have any prior to bidding. I will do my very best to help you however I can. This car is very solid. Starts, runs, and drives well. The title is clean, clear and in my name. Good luck!On Jul-21-13 at 16:16:45 PDT, seller added the following information: * I will be gone on Thurs-Fri, so the winning bidder will have to work around that for pickup. I will be free earlier in the week and on the weekend. The $500 deposit is due immediately at the end of the auction. Please follow through in a timely manner. Good luck!On Jul-21-13 at 17:36:50 PDT, seller added the following information: I meant to post the answer to this question so everyone could see it. See below. Good luck. Dear b********t, Hi.. I know for certain that the transmission fluid has been replaced. It was replaced with factory Honda ATF which is critical. I have receipts for transmission fluid changes. The transmission is probably due for fresh fluid sometime soon, but it is in good health and works well. No problems. The rear brakes seem to be in bad shape simply because the car sat parked for a bit and the rotors look corroded. I have not taken the wheels off of this car and inspected them closely, but through the wheel it looks like that is the problem. It might just be pads however. I unfortunately am in Upstate NY right now and won't be back until tomorrow after the auction ends, so I apologize that I can not check more closely for you. I do not think there any issues with the ABS system. The ABS light is not on. I never slid the car or did anything more than drive it around town. I don't know of any reason why they would not work. Other than what is written in the listing description, I can not think of anything else that I can say about the car. The tires are not in good shape and will need to be replaced. The car also definitely needs to be cleaned. There really is nothing else I can think of. For the ball joints, I am not entirely sure. I have not lifted the vehicle and inspected the steering myself. The alignment is definitely a little off because of whatever the worn component is, but it feels pretty solid overall. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to let me know. You can feel confident in exactly what I have written. Very sincerely, Good Luck. - phazzoo From: b********t To: phazzoo Subject: b********t has sent a question about item #190870695813, ending on Jul-22-13 06:03:10 PDT - Honda : Accord EX Sent Date: Jul-21-13 16:42:51 PDT Dear phazzoo, Thanks for the detailed description of the car. Could you tell me if the transmission fluid has been replaced at all and what kind of condition the transmission is in? What about the rear brakes, are the rotors trashed or do the pads just need to be changed. Are both front ball joints bad? Do the antilock brakes work? Anything else I should know before bidding? Thanks. - b********t
