Vehicle Detail

1997 Hummer H1 Slant-Back! This is a great truck and a fun ride! This is a collectors item, only about 1200 H1's total made in 1997, and they are not making these anymore! This is very rare slant-back style, although it may be the slant add-on, and not the factory slant, since there is a glass section separating the passenger and the slant sections (See pictures). I don't know as I have never seen a slant in person other than mine. The paint is a perfect match so I always thought it was done at the factory. Regardless, if the slant is not factory it was still a very expensive add-on. Complete carfax report in included with this auction, please check the tabs above! Other add-ons include the huge D-Style Brush / Zombie Guard, Light Bar, and Half Roof Rack. Forgot to mention earlier that the truck has a really nice alarm system and LoJak installed, which is an expensive add-on as well. It is in Good Running Condition, it's been babied and not used for towing or any hard work or off-roading since I rebuilt the transmission! I am sorry I let the body paint get this sun-damaged without doing something about it, but I really didn't care too much since I always intended to strip it down ad re-paint it when I had a little extra money and some time. But now I have to sell and I never got the chance to restore it. Was going to do NATO Midnight Black, which is a really easy color to work with and will look really good with the tan interior. This truck is really great to work on, it comes apart and goes back together really easily, much easier than a regular truck, so even if you only have minor bodywork talents you will have no problems restoring this truck. Another cheaper for the restoration option would be just a light sanding with a fine grit paper, then another sanding with a t-shirt, and then a wrap, wraps now are really professional and give a good look, any color you want and graphics and such can be done as well. Since the body is aluminum, moisture trapped under the wrap damaging the finish is not a problem. I have loaded a bunch of new pictures, showing the places where the paint and interior is faded. Any rust you see in the pictures is surface rust, not structural. Easy stuff for anyone that knows bodywork! I can also arrange to delivery this anywhere in the country for between 1k and 2k depending on your location. I have done the following work since I purchased this:New Oil CoolerNew Lift PumpNew Torque ConverterRe-Build TransmissionReplaced Front CV AxlesSome Front - End WorkFixed some problem with the A/CNew Batteries Needs the following:New TiresNew Paint (Sun-faded) (See pictures)New WipersA/C Needs to be rechargedMinor interior work (one of the handled on the door damaged, some interior components sun faded) (See pictures)Minor leak in CTIS (Now, I was told when I bought this that ALL CTIS Leak WITHOUT EXCEPTION but this leak seems to be a bit faster then it was in the past) Please email with any questions!
